The martyr Ilham Farah from Gaza

A retired teacher and a musician, a Christian figure in Gaza's culture, she loved Gaza and played songs of love for it.

On November 12, 2023, she was shot in the foot by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza. She was left bleeding to death on the road due to the blockade, Israeli tanks, and the prevention of the Red Cross or any medical assistance from reaching her.

One of her students, Noor, wrote: "The music classes she supervised at Al-Qahira School were some of the most beautiful sessions. We loved the moments of her playing and singing together."
