Syria's Bashar Al Assad and family in Moscow, granted asylum: Russian news agencies

"Assad and members of his family have arrived in Moscow," the source said

Syria's ousted president Bashar Al Assad and his family are in Moscow, Russian news agencies announced Sunday evening citing a Kremlin source, hours after he fled the country as rebels entered Damascus.

The announcement comes as Russia called for an emergency meeting of the UN security council on the fast-changing situation on the ground in the war-torn country.

"Assad and members of his family have arrived in Moscow," the source told the TASS and Ria Novosti news agencies. "Russia granted them asylum on humanitarian grounds," he added.

Asked whether Assad was confirmed to be in Moscow, a Western official said they believed that was likely the case and had no reason to doubt Moscow's claim.

The Kremlin source also said the rebels who ousted Assad in a lightning offensive "guaranteed the security of Russian army bases and diplomatic institutions on Syria's territory".

"Russia has always been in favour of a political solution to the Syrian crisis. Our starting point is the need to resume negotiations under the auspices of the UN," the Kremlin source added.

A Russian representative to the United Nations announced that Moscow had requested an emergency closed-door meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Syria for Monday afternoon.

"The consequences (of the events in Syria) for this country and the whole region have not yet been measured," the official said on Telegram.

IPOB WORLDWIDE WISHES TO PUT THE RECORD STRAIGHT ABOUT THE BIAFRA SECOND DECLARATION IN FINLAND

The Noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wishes to put the record straight about the second declaration in Finland, following the shambolic gathering of content creators in Finland a few days ago, under the auspices of a phantom and ridiculously named Biafra Government in Exile, where it was claimed Biafra was declared yet again, we the members of the great and noble IPOB worldwide under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu do wish to make the following clarifications:

1. Those leveraging on this disgraceful episode in Finland by a bunch of morons, should be guided in their utterances because it has become apparent that these traducers and agents of oppression have gone into overdrive in their quest to ascribe unjustified importance to an event that was in essence a joke and a shameless attempt to discredit the genuine agitation of IPOB for an independent homeland for the people of Biafra. All those in positions of power in Nigeria that sponsored this joke called declaration in Finland in the hope of damaging the global standing of IPOB should cover their faces in shame. In their desperation to destroy IPOB by any and every means and at all cost, they ended up according notoriety to a nonentity that proclaimed himself prime minister from a one-bedroom flat on the 20th floor of a housing project somewhere in Finland.

2. The myriad of statements purportedly emanating from some of these recruited faceless individuals on social media and belatedly from alleged Igala groups and PANDEF, disassociating themselves from Biafra is not only pathetic but laughable. For the thousandth time, we wish to make it abundantly clear that ancient Igboland spans 13 states of Nigeria. These are not areas occupied by Igbo speaking people but are ancient Igbo land with Igbo people in them. Therefore the hate inspired, politically motivated gerrymandering of borders in Igboland to create the misleading impression that Igboland and Igbo people are confined to only 5 states of the Southeast is a lie this IPOB shall confront and will continue to confront until the truth is not only acknowledged but acted upon via the instrumentality of a United Nations supervised referendum as was the case in Southern Sudan, the newest state to emerge in Africa.

3. Those is Igala and PANDEF that claim they don't want anything to do with Biafra, must also know and accept that Igboland in these territories Gowon and the British ceded to the North, Mid-West and the so-called South South will eternally be Igboland and no jupiter will change this irrefutable fact. When the Nigerian state balkanised ancient Igboland by carving these territories into their newly created 'non-Igbo' states, nobody complained because IPOB had not come by then. Now that God has determined that we must come, we IPOB are here and we say without any fear of contradiction that Igboland is one and indivisble, from those carved into Kogi State to Bayelsa and from those in Cross River to Edo.

4. Our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is on record as having said repeatedly that no ethnic group, tribe or clan will be forced to become part of Biafra. Biafra shall be a model nation founded along the principles of confederacy as obtains in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, with the consent of the people wilfully expressed in a UN supervised referendum. PANDEF and our brothers in Igalaland should wait for an opportunity to express their preference in a referendum before deciding where they wish to belong or not. We must also be guided by the fact that the wonderful people of Obosi in Anambra State have within them those who are descended from the land of Igala in present day Kogi State. If in doubt ask the Attah of Obosi. We Biafrans are republican by nature and no single human being can arrogate powers unto himself without the consent of the people. Therefore, there can never be any government or prime minister without the consent of every Biafran, willfully expressed in a widely accepted democratic process. In other words, to be the head of state, prime minister or any officer of state in Biafra, you must be voted for by the people.

Biafra is a project ordained by our Almighty God himself and no amount of subterfuge, deceit, lies, murder, kidnapping or persecution will make us deviate from this peaceful path to freedom.

The fact that a buffoon who has never visited Biafra land in his adult life, never led a movement or protest, never met our leader in person, decided to make a mockery of himself and his sponsors, should not become the lens through which the legitimate agitation for Biafra Independence championed by IPOB should be viewed.

IPOB was non-violent, and some thought it was a weakness. It was the greatest weapon against the most oppressive government. And IPOB employed it.

Some undisciplined individuals who thought it was a weakness went and joined Simon Ekpa, who was an agent the government wanted to use to push IPOB into violence. IPOB understood this game and dodged it. But some people followed Simon Ekpa and they are perishing with it. The government that wanted you to act anyhow was the master of anyhow. They wanted a moral ground to slaughter you, and they played you with Simon Ekpa to get it. IPOB did wonderfully well in separating themselves from the criiminal who continued to claim he is IPOB when he is not.

Today, he is being tried for terrorism. He is in a state where even British intelligence and the Nigerian government can't save him. There have been continuous and secret arrests of the people Simon Ekpa used. The funny thing is that all these years, these guys were claiming invisible and terrorising Imo State; the government knows where they are. The government simply left them because they were doing what the government wanted.

Some of them truly thought they were working for Biafra and would always laugh at you if you accused them of working for the enemy. In their heart, they feel they are not betraying, but the truth is that they were fọ́ọ́led into trying to destroy the same thing they loved and were ready to give their lives for. In Anambra and Imo, there have been secret arrests of these dubị́ous individuals. And this is called recalling. The government won't allow people to start singing. That's why they will haunt everyone involved so that they will not expose their dealings with the Ekperima, which will serve as evidence against the government. We all know how these things work.

IPOB understand the game very well. IPOB is not afraid of wăr or violenće. IPOB is simply being diplomatic. IPOB follows due process and is capable of destroying the worst of enemies. IPOB has ESN and IPOB did that the right way.

It is funny that the same fọ́ọ́ls that allowed Simon Ekpa to fọ́ọ́l them are now describing him as a human rights activist. You call a man who claimed responsibility for many kị́llings a human rights Activist. You are now exonerating yourself from the news that talked about exchanging gunfire with Nigeriąn soldiers. But for three years you claimed responsibility for these things and shouted wotowoto.

Channels TV has reported that "Task Force has uncovered Shallow Graves Allegedly Operated By IPOB In Imo State". This news is a lie and unsubstantiated.

This was a desperate move by the government to heap all the atrocities they committed using Ebubeagu, the military and their recruited Ekperima and his boys to commit against the people of Biafra.

IPOB leadership have, in their press releases, talked about the continuous killing of IPOB and Igbo youths in general by the government and their agents. Not forgetting the many scattered borrow pits they have been dumping our people in.

NIGERIAN ARMY MUST STOP DEFAMING IPOB/ESN:
NO ESN OPERATIVE KILLED AT ISUOCHI-IPOB

The Noble family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to debunk the falsehood and concocted propaganda peddled to the public by the murderous Nigerian Army that their troop and their other murderous group called UDO-KA stationed in the South East Region killed 4 IPOB and ESN members in a forest at Umuaku Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

The Nigerian Army is committing silent genocide against innocent Biafrans in their quest to blackmail and demonize IPOB before the international community. Since 2021, the Nigerian government recruited criminals to destabilize the South East Region and to tag their violent activities on IPOB. The Nigerian Army has invaded an uncountable number of communities and villages in the South East, murdered innocent civilians, and tagged their victims murders on IPOB or ESN. IPOB members are not violent, nor are they terrorists. In the same way, ESN operatives have never indulged in any form of criminality nor are involved in any destructive activities that can cause the land of Biafra and Ndigbo any harm. Instead, IPOB and ESN members have been at the forefront of providing security against the marauding Fulani terrorists against Ndigbo. One must wonder why the Nigerian government and her murderous military are against IPOB and ESN, who are deterring the Fulanis terrorists onslaught against the Igbos? Is it not obvious that the Nigerian government and her murderous military are the sponsors and accomplices to the Fulani terrorists attacks in many parts of Nigeria, including in ala Igbo? The Nigerian Army have been silently murdering Igbo youths and calling them IPOB members or ESN Operatives. What have IPOB and ESN done that warrants Nigerian murderous Security Forces to be murdering innocent Igbo youths in their efforts to depopulate and even exterminate Igbos into extinction from Igbo Land. Ndigbo are not terrorists. The Nigerian Army has invaded some communities and burnt many houses down in their effort to blackmail IPOB. The recent claim of killing 4 IPOB and ESN Operatives at a forest in Isuochi is another lie because there was no record of confrontation between ESN and the Nigerian Army. Moreso, ESN does not have camp in the said location. If the claims of killing 4 Igbo men and women by the Nigerian Army is true, the Nigerian Army has just killed innocent people. Those murdered are innocent Igbo people. That is to confirm the furthering of the silent genocide being committed by the Nigerian Army against Ndigbo.

There is no ESN camp attacked anywhere in Biafra Land. Moreso, no IPOB member was killed recently by the Nigerian murderous Army. Therefore, the notorious military operation and genocidists called " Operation UDO-KA" should stop their silent genocide against Ndigbo. Also, they should stop dishing out fake news to defame IPOB. All the genocide against innocent Biafrans by the notorious Nigerian military operations are just to deceive the public into believing that they are helping to quell insecurity in the South East Region, but in reality, the more the Nigerian government militarizes the South East Region, the more insecurity is on the rise. We have maintained that the Nigerian Security Forces, particularly DSS, Army, and Police are the main architects of insecurity in the South East Region. The Nigerian Security Forces were responsible for recruiting criminals and for the influx of Fulani terrorists into the South East Region in order for the government to have reasons to attack, blackmail, and defame IPOB and ESN Operatives. This is why you rarely see the Nigerian Security Forces arrest the Fulani terrorists even when they are given security intelligence on the impending Fulani attack. Instead, they always blame IPOB or ESN when they engage the same criminals they hired.

The Directorate of State, DOS of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is calling on the Nigerian Army to cease and desist from blackmailing IPOB and ESN when they kill innocent Biafran citizens. We are not criminals nor terrorists to be killed like animals. IPOB and ESN are a disciplined freedom movement fighting only in self-defense to protect Biafrans and for self-preservation. The Nigeria government and her murderous Security Forces have done all to destroy and criminalize IPOB and ESN to no avail. We have maintained discipline in the struggle for Biafra Independence, irrespective of all that the Nigerian government has done to provoke us. The demand for self-determination and call for a Biafra Referendum by IPOB are lawful and inieliable rights. Instead of the Nigerian government to grant Biafrans a chance to have a UN supervised referendum, they have visited Biafrans with illegal abductions, deaths, destruction, and even genocide. IPOB remains resolute and will not be intimidated into silence or retreat.
The murderous Nigerian Security Forces invade Biafran villages, abduct youths, displace the villagers, loot their properties, and burn down their houses in the communities in the pretense of searching for Biafra agitators. Nigerian Army is a threat to Ndigbo, particularly those in rural communities. This ought to stop.
IPOB, therefore, calls on the international community to advise the Nigerian government to stop terrorizing Ndigbo and IPOB members for seeking Biafra's self-determination. The call for a UN supervised referendum is not a call for war.

If the North mistakenly grabs power again, they will teach other ethnic nationalities mosty, the Yoruba a bitter lesson, Yoruba will cry a very long cry. If I were Yoruba people close to @officialABAT, I would advise them to push for a change of constitution and regional government. I got information that Simon Ekpa planned that once they declare Biafra on 2nd December 2024, they will dissolve the entire cabinet.

The implication of this is that they intend to end every game they have been playing with some people's brains after that empty declaration. This would have given Simon Ekpa and his few fellow scammers a soft landing, but unfortunately, the Finland government got him arrested before executing the highest scam of the century. Had it been Ekpa was never arrested, he would have closed down Autopilot on 2nd December 2024 after the jamboree declaration of Biafra in Finland. This would have perfected the scam. But it didn't work out.

Immediately after the arrest, Ngozi Orabueze moved to put an end to what is today called Autopilot mădness, by telling them that it is time to dissolve them as mandated by Ekpa since they have already declared Biafra in Finland and now enjoying Biafra, and even using Biafra currency they called Ojema. She also demanded accountability from them as the second in command, but the group has refused saying they won't account for anything. They rather asked him to go to Finland prison and tell Ekpa to ask them to account for all the money they collected.

As Ekpa and his gangs planned to shut down Autopilot with the claim that they had declared Biafra, hence they would dissolve the cabinet. But it seems those they fọ́ọ́led into believing they truly wanted to restore Biafra are not taking this their games.

It is now clear that not all of them truly knew that people like Simon Ekpa and Ngozi Orabueze were agents of the government.
