@Alistair_McF -Remove tech tree. It makes the game too predictable. Back in the day you had no idea when you would get a gun/armor/building piece but when you did it was awesome.
-No vehicle purchases
-Small nooks in cliffs for bases. (sulfur too easy, need stronger solo spots)

@Alistair_McF some of my biggest problems with rust after playing 8k hours since 2016:
- servers are too populated. even "low pop" feels too much
- too easy to get good loot. ran train tuns on wipe and ended at outpost with 1k scrap before a base on vanilla
- random annoying bugs
- remove mlrs

@Alistair_McF plz make balloons take off directly upwards when on monuments (same as taking off from ground) so they don't immediately start flying with max horizontal speed. this issue currently gets them stuck more often than not. also add balloon pushing
