What we are witnessing in #Sudan is modern day genocide

They Shout “Crush Them” While Chasing Civilians: New Video from El Fasher Exposes the Inhumanity of the UAE-Backed Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed) and the Silence of a Complicit World
A new horrifying video from El Fasher has emerged, showing the UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed) chasing terrified civilians in pickup trucks supplied by the United Arab Emirates. In the footage, militiamen can be heard screaming obscenities and shouting, “Crush them, crush them… God is greatest, sons of bitches,” as they pursue fleeing residents. One voice is heard shouting, “Hit this old man,” while others cheer and laugh, turning violence into a grotesque display of power.
This scene captures the absolute inhumanity that has gripped Darfur. It is not a battle between armed forces but a hunt for human beings, civilians running for their lives, hunted by a militia intoxicated with impunity. These are the same moments that Sudanese voices have been warning about for more than a year and a half, the descent of El Fasher into barbarity if the world continued to look away.
We have warned. We have pleaded. We have documented.
For eighteen months, Sudanese activists, journalists, and survivors have called upon the world to act. Every time, the response was the same refrain, “the forgotten war.” But Sudan was never forgotten. It was deliberately ignored.
The world knows who fuels this war. It knows who finances and arms the killers. The UAE is the main backer of the Rapid Support Militia, providing funds, logistics, and political cover. Yet it is not acting alone. The weapons that flood into Sudan are not made in Abu Dhabi. The UAE buys them from others, from Canada, France, Bulgaria, China, and other countries that see profit in silence. International investigations and arms-tracing reports have revealed how these weapons reach the militia’s hands through Emirati supply routes and military cargo planes.
This is why global complicity runs deep. Those who manufacture the weapons, those who sell them to the UAE knowing their destination, and those who turn a blind eye to their use in atrocities are all participants in this crime. They benefit from the blood of Sudanese civilians.
Those who supply weapons, those who ignore sanctions, those who shake hands with war financiers, they all share responsibility for every scream, every burned home, and every life crushed beneath these trucks.
The silence of governments is no longer neutrality. It is participation. The world is not just watching Sudan bleed; it is profiting from that blood.
Today, as the people of El Fasher face terror on their streets, Sudanese voices rise once again to say enough. Enough with statements of concern, enough with selective empathy, enough with the hypocrisy of those who condemn genocide in words but enable it in practice.
History will not say this war was forgotten, but that it was ignored by design. It will remember those who armed the killers, those who financed the trucks, those who looked away, and those who tried to quiet their conscience with empty statements that fed no one and saved no one.
