@AudieCornish Clearly some of these respondents have never worked in a strapped newsroom. I understand the offense. I understand the ideal. But to automatically assign "laziness" to journalists whose circumstances you absolutely DO. NOT. KNOW. is improper.

@MichaelWatsonMS Yes, I fully understand. But taxpayers don't get some special dispensation to change the terms of the deal after the fact just because they're taxpayers. Every employee is made a promise of what they will receive in exchange for their labor. That promise should always be honored
