@LeadingReport What does controlling the senate, White House, blah, blah, blah, have to do with fraud in our elections? There is fraud in our elections. FIX IT!
How exactly will it make housing more affordable? Don’t fall for fast talking senators and congressmen. In the bill: Building more houses, duplexes and apartments. That isn’t going to lower the costs of single family homes.
In the bill: Cutting regulations: could be good. Lowering the building quality on manufactured homes: not such a great idea.
In the bill: Loosen regulations to allow banks to give buyers mortgages (isn’t that how we got in trouble in 2007?). How does that lower housing costs exactly?
In the bill: Giving money to local governments to turn vacant buildings into housing? When has giving money to government entities to do something worthy ever been a good idea? How will that lower the costs of single family homes?
In the bill: Building more section 8 housing: not sure how that will lower the prices of middle class homes.
In the bill: Whole home repairs: establishes forgivable loans to low income home owners to repair their homes. Not sure how that helps with the prices of purchasing a new home.
I’m not seeing anything in this bill that would actually make it cheaper for people to purchase a home. Lower interest rates? That’s a help, but not in the bill (it can’t be, I know, but that would help). Cutting property taxes? Big help. Not in the bill.
There might be worthy things in the bill, but lowering the cost of housing? I don’t see it.
@BreannaMorello He’s race baiting. This is disgusting at its core. A white boy is dead because a black boy stabbed him and he has the nerve to say, “this shows that black lives don’t matter” ??? That black boy is alive, the white boy is not. Whose life didn’t matter?
With all do respect, WE can’t save the world from every injustice. We are broke. Secondly, prove to me that USAID money would actually get to the people in Congo. I think we were all shown that USAID was just a front for politicians stealing from the taxpayers. Send your own money Senator, you have ALOT of it.
@krassenstein I know you think you know EVERYTHING, but you do not. Why don’t you just stick to what you know and not make comments on things you know nothing about.
