🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #UFCFreedom250 Fight Thoughts:

1⃣Topuria/Gaethje - Topuria has a high floor of offense which should be enough to carry him. He's the better boxer and the better wrestler, and should be able to land cleanly. Mostly a question of whether Gaethje can survive, keep the fight upright, and then create brawling exchanges to accumulate damage and swing the fight. I wouldn't count him out but his lack of defense puts him well behind.

2⃣Gane/Pereira - Think Gane is better suited to win minutes at distance, control exchanges and evade. Pereira has more fight ending power. Both are capable of winning clearly. I lean toward Gane to have early success but I'm not completely sure he can stay safe for 5 rounds. Would be a bit surprised if it ended quickly.

3⃣O'Malley/Zahabi - O'Malley is the better distance striker, longer and much more active. Should be enough to carry him to a clean win, and he may have a shot to win by KO. Zahabi is still a solid technical striker though and if he can slow the pace down, competitive rounds are on the table. He just doesn't throw enough to separate and do damage, so it's an uphill battle stylistically.

4⃣Hokit/Lewis - Incredible fight. I don't see how Lewis can keep up with Hokit's pace, so I think he needs early damage. Definitely possible, and I have some concerns about Hokit's general size and experience. Pacing is so important though and if Lewis can't hurt Hokit quickly, Hokit will start to rack up offense and I doubt Lewis is mounting a comeback at that point. Like Hokit KO but probably ends quickly either way.

5⃣Ruffy/Chandler - Ruffy probablty picks Chandler apart at distance and eventually hurts him. Chandler is always live for early wrestling success, and the occasional big moment. Do expect him to try and put on a show in round 1. Just don't trust his cardio and skills enough to carry it to a decision.

6⃣Nickal/Daukaus - Nickal's wrestling is still great and I think he can control the fight here. I still have questions about his durability/adversity/cardio and if those fail, Daukaus is absolutely capable of finishing the fight, both on the feet and on the mat. Just think Nickal probably fights calmly and controls the fight enough to win cleanly but some variance here with experience/gameplan type stuff.

7⃣Lopes/Garcia - Clear path for Garcia if he can keep the fight upright and not get hurt. I personally think Lopes can take him down and take his back early though, and the fight might just end there. Even on the feet, have some real durability concerns for Garcia. Picking Lopes but if we get an extended striking affair Garcia very live there.
