Feels like for nearly 3 months straight, every UFC slate came down to the main event breaking against whatever I needed most.
Needed the favorite to dominate? Underdog wins.
Needed the underdog upset? Favorite nukes.
Needed neither to score well? Five-round war.
Shipping had been elusive for awhile.
Finally broke through this week 🏆
Special thanks to @bkaufman729 for sweating with me every event and @BrettAppley for his content at Daily Fan!
Well good morning!!
Solid card with plenty of action at #UFCMacau and some decent profit to show for it. A takedown for myself in the mini max and plenty of big wins in the discord. Love to see it!
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday, we’ll see you next week for #UFCVegas118 ;)

Kind of a gross card for talent but should have some fun action. Here are my Fight Thoughts #UFCMacau
1⃣Song/Figgy - Somewhat confident in Song. Better athlete, more active, super durable. I don't see Figgy keeping up on pace and think it's unlikely he finds a finish. Guessing Song comfortable decision or late finish.
2⃣Zhang/Menifield - Hard to be confident in Zhang past 1 round, and therefore Menifield pretty live in decision or with early striking variance. Menifield's durability is super concerning though, still think pretty decent chance Zhang gets the early finish.
3⃣Pavlovich/Teixeira - I think Tex is potent enough to score an early knockout, so I'm not ruling out his chances. If it doesn't come quickly, Pav is just a more seasoned kickboxer, more technical, better defensively, better cardio. Probably doesn't last long.
4⃣Kai/Smotherman - Uncomfortable fight. Kai could kill him quickly but I've liked Smotherman's boxing some, especially late in fights. Both sides have some durability concerns.
5⃣Matthews/Harris - Think Matthews is better everywhere, he just doesn't always step on the pedal and has poor fight iq. Harris could catch him but otherwise think Matthews gets ahead in rounds and could find a mid-round finish.
6⃣Perez/Su - I've historically been way above market on Perez, he's just so inconsistent. Great wrestler, strong boxer, could maul Su on the mat. Or could get outpointed to a decision. Unsure which version shows up.
7⃣Dias/Lee - Based solely on Lee's one loss I have minimal hope for him, but lacking data here. Dias has more skills and experience on paper, and guessing he can physically grapple his way to a sub. Just don't feel certain what level Lee is at.
8⃣Meng/Souza - Meng super aggressive and wiling to brawl. Don't think Souza has the goods but probably pretty high-variance striking affair. Would be surprised if someone doesn't get hurt, lean Meng for experience.
9⃣Haddon/Aori - Should be super high paced fight. Really like Haddon and Aori is so defensively irresponsible. Packs some power though. Thinking fun exchanges early before Haddon takes over.
🔟Tsuruya/Gurule - Looking forward to this one. IMO Tsuruya's game was pretty broken the last time he fought, and I think Gurule has enough scrambling and boxing to win this fight if Tsuruya hasn't improved. Do think Tsuruya gets him down early, but just haven't loved his control, striking, cardio. Dangerous spot imo but hoping to see real improvements.
1⃣1⃣Xiong/Hill - Profiles as competitive striking affair, with Xiong bigger striking moments, and Hill more consistent activity. Possibly wrestling upside for Hill. Not excited to back either but typically lean Hill value in these spots.
1⃣2⃣Vera/Zhu - Vera solid wrestler but doesn't seem super great with control or subs. Zhu solid neutralizer. Lean striker here given Zhu's recent defensive wrestling success but don't care much.
1⃣3⃣Amorim/Loma - Amorim probably gets her down early but if she can't sub her in RD 1, I'll take Loma to win. Amorim looked horrid last fight and mostly any time fights extend. Loma very experienced and solid striking. As much as I'd like to give Amorim a pass I have a bad feeling it will be same shit if fight does extend.

@Angeld315 Idk man, I've seen that happen enough times lol. I do think Amorim can have early success, but if she doesn't get a 1st round sub I'd probably expect her to lose.
