Having security escort out people who had been there since the very beginning, that was the first really big red flag that opened my eyes.

@ReggieLove76763 @watchkeep @GatewayPeople I'm no fan of Gateway but anyone with critical thinking skills would understand he wasn't saying not to go to the authorities at all. If you're in a good church with solid elders who lead the church well, you absolutely should be able to go to them about your abuse.

@watchkeep @GatewayPeople This should be a given. You absolutely should be able to trust your elders with these things, AFTER you go to the authorities. I do not believe for one second he was saying just to come to them and not involve the police at all.
