#718 / 2.7M for #F1Fantasy 2025 β
This is our 4th consecutive top 1000 finish.
Itβs no secret that luck plays a big part in any fantasy sport, but hopefully these results can convince you that - with the right tools - skill can play an even bigger part! πͺ
Let's reflect ππ§΅
New #F1Fantasy video π₯ out now!
I had the pleasure of sitting down with @TomP1Bellingham from @MattP1Tommy to discuss his meteoric rise to 62nd in the world (out of 2m+ teams) in #F1Fantasy.
We discuss his strategy, transfer decisions and chip use!

@foodhallking If you for example made the transfer LEC to ANT and now you do ANT to LEC again, this counts as 0 transfers.
However, if you had ALB last race and you made 3 other changes, this would be the fourth change and would cost -10.
Rhter just released a new #F1Fantasy sim ("Canada. Post-SQ. v3") that simulates pit starts for BEA, GAS, ALB and BOT (and not for LAW).
Reminder that transfers (and therefor transfer penalties) only lock in at the deadline. So you can still make changes if you want to!
The most accurate way to describe it would be as a toss-up. MCL are faster in quali, but race pace is a lot closer + FER has the better starts, which have proven effective in previous races.
If you think MCL will hold P3 and P4, they will score more. If you think FER can challenge them for those places, they will likely score more. Your call!
A Post-SQ #F1Fantasy simulation, that takes into account the data from FP1 and the Sprint Qualifying, is live in the Team Calculator! π
MER looks strong and FER is still cheap, so the meta is pretty clearly on MER + FER + ANT.
The bigger decisions will lie in what backmarkers to take to avoid budget losses after the Miami carnage. Lots of players have BEA and HUL, which are both as good as guaranteed to get a -0.6M. But who to transfer to? ALB? PER? Or - and we can't believe we're saying this before R5 but - ALO? π€
Deadline is in 5 hours, good luck!
He's predicted to make 5 overtakes over the weekend on average (over thousands of simulations). Not high, but also not low compared to the other drivers.
His relatively low predicted score is more due to his relatively good qualifying performance which limits his upside (less slow cars to overtake and not quick enough to realistically get top 10) and a higher downside (more places to drop if something goes wrong). In F1 Fantasy, you ideally want your backmarkers to be bad at qualifying with great race pace.
Although, we also have to say that the sims are still adapting to the new rules. The possibility of back and forth overtakes because of the new deployment systems are hard to model and overtakes have generally been higher than we're predicting. The problem is that it's very peaky. Meaning that some drivers have some battles that result in 10+ overtakes, while others don't have those battles and thus also don't have those overtake points.
Since this is less based on the car and more on 'luck' and positioning in the race, predicting those battles is hard. A lot harder than in previous seasons. So please bear with us as we keep working on and improving our models.
In the meantime, feel free to adjust the xPts values to better reflect what you think will happen during the race.
The Post-SQ #F1Fantasy simulation for the #MiamiGP is out! π¨
FER alongside either LEC or HAM looks promising as the cheapest A-tier assets.
Get suggestions tailored to your team and adjust any of the simulation results in the Team Calculator ππ
@PalacePeaked Both look good for that.
It will come down to who you trust the most to:
- not break down
- not lose it in the potential rain
which is obviously not an easy call.
The official #F1Fantasy points for the #MiamiGP are finally in!
And it looks like budget building will be a challenge next race π¬ Would you consider ALO, PER or BOT for Canada?
The post-SQ simulation is now out.
Apologies for the lack of an early sim. FP1 and Sprint quali are very important to the sim quality on sprint weekends where lots of teams bring upgrades, so an early sim was less useful than normal.
Weβll try to release one for future races - even if the quality might be lower.
@BorisTheBlade42 The sims seems to bank on chaos at the start of the sprint with ALB and LAW coming out on top, but you're definitely justified in questioning that.
Feel free to adjust the xPts values to what you think is a more reasonable amount and see how the teams in the calculator change.
It has been updated with a Post-SQ sim!
In the past 2 years, rhter has not missed a deadline yet, but we do apologize for the lack of an early sim. FP1 and Sprint quali are very important to the sim quality on sprint weekends where lots of teams bring upgrades, so an early sim was less useful than normal.
Weβll try to release one for future races - even if the quality might be lower.
