Happy Birthday to Jack Aitken born #OnThisDay 23 September 1995. Aitken rose through the ranks as a Renault Sport F1 Team junior in 2016, later becoming their official test/reserve driver. In 2020, he joined Williams Racing as reserve and made his F1 race debut at the Sakhir GP — stepping in after George Russell replaced Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes.
Despite a spin that triggered a Safety Car and shaped the race, Aitken impressed with a composed drive to P16 in an uncompetitive car.
Though his F1 race career was brief, he continues to thrive in motorsport — competing in GT, DTM and endurance racing.

Bobsleighs on display at Silverstone. Reminded me of my university project using CFD to study bobleigh aerodynamics. Perhaps that might even have been the first seed that steered my career path.
