Lyndsay Clancy's defense says she begged for help. As a nurse, she asks patients about symptoms daily and knows that relaying symptoms is essential for any treatment. She is very familiar with ppp in her specific profession.
Yet Lyndsay never once told docs at any time that she
had thoughts of harming the kids, heard voices, had hallucinations or any symptoms of post partum psychosis.
NOT ONCE. During 14 appointments at minimum, when asked directly by doctors, she said NO.
Every single time.

👉 If we must take into account the defense psychiatrist's reasoning for her committing the tragic event, (a doc who didn't even know her, btw), we have to take this information about her repeated denial of having ppp or its symptoms--all made during her "lucid" times--as evidence as well.
Defense completely crumbles.

She told her Mom in several months of daily texts that she felt better and slept better. Did many activities. Outings with family and friends. Opposite of what defense portrays.

They also claim her mental illness was "mixed," and rapid cycling, atypical. So she was lucid, then psychotic, then lucid, they say.
👉 It took a great deal of time to carefully plan and execute the murders. Get the husband out of the house. Struggle and kill each child one at a time.
There was plenty of time to cycle back out of psychosis between murders and not continue, if that really was the case. The defense again falls apart with her meticulous premeditation.

Hallucinations are only brought up long after the deed is done, when cooking up a defense for her heinous crime.

Also chilling is that instead of experiencing deep grief at the death of her kids, she journals about her anticipation of competing in wheelchair marathons and a new career as an advocate. Looking forward to her future is not what any grieving mom would do.
Not for a great many years, if ever. It smacks of extreme narcissism on top of criminal intent.

Jail for life or de@th penalty is the only just outcome in this case.
