Ever wondered what this metal cylinder spotted at the #MonacoGP on the #FerrariF1 is? 🧐
It’s a PYROTHERM CS F100 by DIAS Infrared Systems, and it’s a crucial garage tool used to calibrate the thermal sensors (like the ones monitoring tire temps).
Here is how it works 👇#F1
With Monaco’s special Rev 1 mode forcing MGU-K deployment to taper from just 200 km/h (zero by ~300 km/h), I believe that some teams will rewriting their deployment maps.
Smart engineers will max out electric deployment at the lowest possible speeds to boost exits from slow corners, directly countering any advantage from smaller turbo units like Ferrari’s.
Knowing that in Monaco it’s still almost impossible to overtake even with extra 50hp. But what if Ferrari played the same game ?!⚡🏎️ it’s game on.

With all the talks about 2027 PU regulations, Ferrari & Audi are the only teams blocking the 2027 60/40 ICE-electric power split 🔥
Why? They’re protecting the ADUO catch-up system. Ferrari hoped extra development tokens would close their gap to Mercedes & Red Bull-Ford PUs.
Now Merc & RB can keep evolving their strong ICEs while Ferrari has a huge development to do to try and keep up with them. While this change needs a majority of votes not unanimous vote, we think that the 60-40 will go green.

There is something very important we should remind the teams of:
1- Don’t bring any upgrades to Monaco
2- in Monaco don’t bring any upgrades
3- no upgrades should not be brought to Monaco
After the adrenaline fades, the day-after analysis hits different.
🟠McLaren were the big losers with that inters strategy, same for most who started on inters. McLaren could have easily been on podium.
🔵Red Bull’s latest weight reduction package was a serious step, closing right up on Ferrari. But in the final stint they couldn’t keep the tires in the correct window, handing 2nd place to Hamilton.
⚫️Massive respect to the Mercedes duel. Russell vs Antonelli pushing flat out for laps on a track that’s not that brutal on tires, yet Kimi only had minor graining on the front left which did not affect his speed. How did the car manage to be so gentile on its tires?! That car is a complete powerhouse inside out.
🔴the Ferrari, they still have a lot to do to catch up. Since day 1 of the winter testing and the rear end is the weakest link of the car, and yet they did not find a drastic solution to it. The result was more than expected even from the team’s point of view.
