Hague is demonstrably correct. Going to say it again. The fact there are still people on the right lashing themselves to and venerating Trump is incomprehensible.
The brass neck of @hasanthehun making this statement when he has been a major player in this exact issue, attacking any Democrat that doesn’t pass his purity test, even if they are likely to defeat a worse republican.
You’re a despicable, self centred, self aggrandising moron.
i can't stand the double standard, democrats and generally progressive people are expected to be perfect all the time, meanwhile republicans can say whatever the fuck they want and their cattle fanbase will eat that slop and defend them endlessly
It's remarkable that a woman can complain about free speech in Britain while supporting execution for blasphemy in Saudi Arabia.
This might be one of those paradox of tolerance situations.
Lubna Speitan, proposer of the 'Zionism is racism' motion argues that SYNAGOGUES need to be confronted for "putting their children through schools to become the next IOF settlers who come and slaughter our families, steal our homes, rape our children."
Why is @ZackPolanski liking tweets of this nature?
It is ridiculous and dangerous to call Labour genocidal. That word has now become all but meaningless.
The left is eating itself and the Greens are going to be us witnessing that in real time.
Over on BlueSky, Zack Polanski is liking tweets telling people who oppose the "Zionism is Racism" motion 'sometimes things don't go your way' and 'to move on'.
Let me explain why its a far right motion. The impact on the Gov of Israel is Zero. Netanyahu couldnt give a toss about the GPEW. But the impact on British Jews is this: it becomes official policy of the Green Party to crudely decide which Jews are good and which Jews are bad. /1
A Jew tried to join the Cable Street march today and because he’s a Zionist the ‘antiracists’ physically attacked him and dragged him out. I honestly don’t have words for how scary and disturbing antizionism is.
What has happened in Israel and Palestine over these past three years is catastrophic.
Leaders in both countries often claim religious justification to distract from accountability. We should never be deterred from calling out their failures of political leadership that have led to this place.
To champion a two state solution - a safe Israel and a free Palestine - is not racist. It is to understand the citizens of both deserve better and fight for them all accordingly.
Today’s behaviour from the Green Party will not keep a single citizen there safe or deliver progress towards peace. It will however inevitably add to the hostility Jews in Walthamstow and beyond are facing as they are again labelled responsible for these horrors, not the politicians directing them.
If you stand for peace and justice, you have to stand for it for everyone. The Greens can now no longer claim to do either.
There were two marches at Cable Street today.
One was made up of Jews, many of them descendants of the original people who fought fascists in Cable Street 90 years ago, and our allies.
The other one was made up of people who are the new Jew haters.
Even as they entered the park they were screaming ‘Zionism is fascism’.
This group had been rowing as an anti Zionist Jew among them asked them not to attack Jews from the first march.
So they started chanting ‘Zionism is fascism’.
As I tried to film them they turned on me. They said I had to stop filming and I explained I was a journalist and free to film them.
They looked at my Star of David and said, ‘You aren’t a journalist, you are a Zionist.’
When I explained I was both a journalist and a Zionist they turned on me. Screamed ‘Zionism is racism’. They surrounded me with their tarpaulin which said - the irony - ‘no Pasaran’ and they tried to shove me away.
One man tried to body push me away with his chest. A steward with a ‘stand up to racism’ high vis jacket poked me with her placard. When I remonstrated with her she told me, ‘if I wanted to hurt you, you wouldn’t get out of here alive.’
People there kept telling me I had to leave.
An event which was meant to be about a famous fight against antisemitism became a hostile place for Jews.
The keffiyeh-wearing idealogues are hateful Jew haters.
