Delhi Police fortified Central Delhi to stop people from reaching Jantar Mantar, a designated protest site.

Result - There are now 50 different Jantar Mantars in and around Central Delhi.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee on Sunday recalled the incidents that led to his detention on Saturday. Rathee said he was allegedly kidnapped by men in civil clothes. “I would have been detained had I gone for protest…But they kidnapped me while I was sleeping. I got to know later that there were more than 50 people standing outside the house. I was dragged out of my house like a criminal,” Rathee said.

Rathee was released on Sunday (October 11) by the Gurugram Police.

Why did you delete the part where I was asking for my phone so I could retrieve my cousin’s number? And where I was asking to let me speak to my lawyers?

The same Delhi Police which is now taking the moral high ground for informing me about my grandmother’s demise and offering me a ride home came to me at 3:30 in the morning with arrest papers, demanding that I sign them.

Where did all that humanity go at 3:30 AM? Despite knowing that I had just lost my grandmother, they still insisted that I sign the arrest papers. I refused until I was allowed to speak to my lawyers.
