It exceeded my expectations po. This is a fresh coming-of-age series. Programs like this are what we want from the entertainment industry, and we are so glad that this is the kind of project for Capeath’s first tandem.
It’s true that the first episode was kind of fast-paced, but I think that also leaves more room for the plot to unfold in the upcoming episodes. Since the foundation of the story was already established right from the start, the next episodes now have more space to focus on character development, emotional build-up, and the deeper layers of the story.
I also liked how the first episode was able to show how different Miguel’s world is from the other characters’ while also highlighting Angel’s genius mind. The Anguel characters already showed something distinct from others their age, which made them more interesting to watch. They don’t feel one-dimensional, and even in the first episode alone, you can already sense that there’s more depth to their personalities and dynamics.
Cap’s acting was really on point, especially in the hospital scene. She delivered the emotions well and her voice narration was also pleasing to hear.
What impressed me the most was how Cap and Heath’s chemistry overpowered the mascot thingy. Even if they weren’t seeing each other face-to-face, viewers could still feel the kilig in their scenes. Also, huge props to Heath because he had to stay inside the mascot costume most of the time and basically do two takes: one for the mascot’s outer movements and another for the emotions and expressions he had to deliver from inside the costume.
Thank you po to all the production staff, writers, and the director of You’re My Favorite Song for all your efforts. Can’t wait to see how Anguel’s comforting relationship will unfold.
The beauty of Angel and Miguel story is that it feels earned. It started with a random accidental meeting, but they turned it into something so meaningful. A slow burn that rewards you with every single episode. This is exactly my kind of trope, so light and comforting.🤍
what i love about their dynamics is that hindi lang siya pure kilig, there’s laughter too. grabe talaga chemistry nila together, yung chemistry na mapapangiti ka not just because kinikilig ka, but because you’re genuinely enjoying every moment of them on screen
