Update is live in BETA state: You can speak to the fish but its not as simple as you might think! It still has no language. It has a word list and a brain state, and we wrote the map between them.
You can hand it up to four words. Not free text but four words out of the 850 in Ogden’s Basic English, the same 850 it has, and anything that is not one of them is refused before it goes anywhere. That closed list is the entire moderation policy: a URL, a tag, a path and a slur are all refused for the same reason a typo is, because none of them are on it. What you send is then drawn onto a page-sized canvas and slid past the fish’s eye the way an optomotor stimulus is delivered to a real larva. It never touches a parser, a browser or a DOM. It reaches 216 retinal samples and stops there. What comes back is what its neurons did, in Hz, and the words a map puts on that reaction and the map, not the fish, is what does the naming. Enjoy
