The inconsistency in refereeing decisions within the same game is ridiculous. There's no way Egypts second goal gets chalked off if Messi goes on that mazy run, and no VAR check on Argentina's goal? ๐ค
Mohamed Salah, by the way. Carrying an injury, but when the game demanded decisiveness, he took it upon himself to deliver. The cross for Rabia would have been the winner but for the goalkeeping brilliance of Beach. He drove Egypt on in extra time, calling for movement to supply, creating space for himself to have a crackโฆ
Then that cold-as-ice penalty. Powered through his usual run up only to surprise everyone with a Panenka finish ๐ฎโ๐จ
He said he โwanted to give the team confidenceโ by doing that. โI decided last minuteโฆ I didnโt know if that was my last World Cup action or not โฆ but I *had* to do it!โ
For the final time. โค๏ธ
Salah's journey at Anfield comes to an end - the only three-time winner of the PFA Players' Player of the Year.
All the best, Mo. ๐

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As Iโve always said, qualifying to next seasonโs Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
