What an incredible way to kick off the next phase of #BBNJ. 68 countries officially signed the #HighSeasTreaty today, the official Opening for Signature. There’s a lot more work to do, but today, at least, let’s celebrate this global show of commitment to protect the #HighSeas!
The #BBNJ Treaty is now officially open for signature at the UN headquarters in NYC. Once ratified, it will be the 1st legally binding int’l treaty governing the #HighSeas & protecting 60%+ of the earth’s surface.
