#karinfgiusti started photographing #threeseasons shortly before Stephen’s death and continued after he passed away. She started with her feet working her way up the trees and sky and then down to the ground. She stitched together the photographs resulting in a journal of sorts.
Stephen G. Schwarz, artist #karinfgiusti partner, was a 9/11 first responder of the New York City Fire Department and helped with the recovery effort in the critical days following the attacks. For years they lived on a farm until his death in 2010 at 49. #threeseasons

#theworldisyouroyster was installed in a park by the New Haven harbor along the roadside in 1990 and was composed of three-foot fiberglass pearls encircled in a tree and a seven foot-high oyster made from animation rubber powered by hydraulics opened-closed upon a "globe pearl".
