“In my learning and reading a book by the famous author, E. W. Kenyon, a man I respect and I equally call one of the most profound authors of the 20t​ h ​Century. I must confess that this was one book that opened my eyes to the concept of the theme of righteousness. He made a statement in that book.
“Righteousness is a master.”
I left that page and I paused, A master? Well, I had left the book initially as this was my second reading. I had thought that righteousness was just about “I am no longer going to Hell, I am going to heaven, God has given me the gift of forgiveness of sins.” And looking through the theme and the experiences that he promotes in the theme and focused on in that material on the actors of the Old Testament, I knew that there was much to learn on the subject of righteousness.
E. W. Kenyon therefore has laid the foundation upon which we build this book. In 2017 we had released a book, “Two kinds of Righteousness” which I call the predecessor of this material amongst others which include ‘This is Our God (His wrath) that the concept of the righteousness of God without works is what was not just promoted by the writers of the epistles, but right there in the Old Testament books as we so refer. Thus in that book, we posited the reason for the giving of the law; the 10 commandments and the diverse laws and commandments and instructions as given by Moses. What we have done in this book is to advance that study and bring to light in much more detail and why it is so, that all the New Testament writers went into the very details of pages of books that we oftentimes ignore. How were they able to write the epistles from the entire book of Deuteronomy? How was Deuteronomy 28 useful for Paul in writing the book of Ephesians or Romans? How was he able to write Romans 10 from Deuteronomy 30 and bring out such gems of truth. These will be our points of study as we focus a whole lot on the same Old Testament texts which have been referred to as the gospel or the word of God.
As we said in our last material, This is Our God (His Wrath), the scriptures ought to be painstakingly read, not just with a view to basically understand it with our views or different perceptions, but to also first of all understand the language, the world and the context with which they were written and said. Not a few Christians today grapple with the thought of whether the Old Testament (Genesis to Malachi) is a different material that operates with a different set of rules and themes unlike its ‘opposite or counterpart’ in many minds; the New Testament.

Is it true that we can safely say, for example, that the concept of righteousness in the Old Testament differs from the concept of righteousness in the New Testament?
This assertion goes farther than many people would imagine, because what it simply means is that the New Testament has simply created themes of its own. Now, when I say the New Testament, I am referring to the books of Matthew to Revelation. If that were so, why did Jesus make the claim1​ that the scriptures testify of him?
He further asserts in John 5...
John 5:46 ​For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; ​for he wrote of me.​ Vs 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
In other words, Jesus asserts that believing in him is equal to believing in Moses; the law. Believing in Moses and the law is believing in himself. Is he referring to some parts of it or a few statements made there? If that were true, then his assertions that the scriptures point to him would not be accurate. But since we know that Jesus is accurate, we need to adjust our inaccurate perception of what he has said according to the scriptures.
Today we have numerous questions that throbs their minds on the exact position of scriptures on issues such as wars, slavery, genocides as though scriptures give a positive slant or endorse those occurrences as long as they are done in the name of the Lord.

Service (1)

How available are we in the House of God? Did you attend Sunday’s service and did not participate in the service unto others? Did the chairs, sound equipment, pulpit serve more than you did?
Are you claiming a busy schedule or the cosmopolitan nature of your residence as an excuse?
Yet we find time to run around to make money and satisfy our desires!

Service in the House of God is greatness in God’s kingdom.

Let’s hear Jesus.
Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. 22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. 24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. 25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Just like the mother of the two disciples above, we have thought that influence is greatness. That position is glory and honour. The other disciples were not any better.

They must have desired same.

Jesus answered all, 'To be GREAT IS TO SERVE.'

Notice, He didn't call service the "way" to greatness. That’s the manipulative theory of this world. People serve to acquire positions in future.

They serve under a pastor for positions in Church, for promotion at work! For God to bless them!

We have missed the mark!

When we serve, in God’s eyes we are great! We have learnt influence from the world. We are not from this world. We are like Jesus.
Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Thus in the House of God, we must be seen available for others to "use" us. To call on us. To ask and receive from us.

We must serve. Without humility we cannot serve.

No matter who you are in the corporate world or in government.

In Christ, to be great is to lay all that aside and serve!
1 Corinthians 9: 19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

It’s a choice. You are free.

Yet you make yourself available for others.
Whatever you do in God’s house, do it with the mindset that it’s for Jesus.
If you clean chairs, clean because HE will be sitting on it.
If you sing, sing for Him.
If you handle security, take care of His belongings.

It’s for Him.
