@beermathuang I suppose the Angels winning would help "justify" or support Ohtani winning an individual award he deserves even though it shouldn't. That's a reality that exists in pro sports and I was merely making that observation

That Shohei might not get a single award this year despite having a much better season overall than last year tells me that unless a player is the best in one area he won't be rewarded (at least in the formal sense). Elite multidimensional (historic!!) performances get nil in MLB
