I don't care about reporters being "traumatized" by whatever they saw or heard at the botched execution.

I care about Colleen Slemmer's family. I care about their suffering, and their 30 year fight for justice for Colleen.

I don't have any compassion for Christa Pike and any pain, fear or discomfort she may have felt.

I don't care if her arm hurt.

In fact, I hope she did suffer. I hope she suffers every day the rest of her life.

She brutally murdered a 19 year old girl.

She crushed Colleen's skull and kept a piece of it as a souvenir.

She has forfeited her right to life, and compassion.

Colleen Slemmer was conscious.

People are upset about what Pike went through last night on a gurney, with a doctor and a hospital waiting.

Here's what the court record says Colleen went through:

Pike lured her to a dark, isolated spot on the University of Tennessee campus.

By Pike's own account, the premeditated attack lasted 30 minutes to an hour.

Colleen, only 19 years old, was beaten, slashed, stabbed, and her skull was crushed.

The medical examiner testified Colleen was alive and conscious the whole time.

Colleen had defensive wounds. She fought back.

Pike stopped partway through to scout the area, then went back to finish it.

Then Pike walked back to the Job Corps center. Colleen was found the next morning.

No doctor. No hospital. No appeals. No 30+ more years.

Colleen didn't snore. She didn't sleep. She didn't wake up with a sore arm.

She fought, she suffered, and she died alone in the dark.
