@JatinTweets_ And you’re okay watching a movie where Jesus Christ was played by a light-skinned hairless white man…. while he was a hairy and tanned-skin semite!
I appreciate your work as an exceptionally talented actress. But because you are not a Southerner you will never understand the suffering that we, the people of the South, have endured since the Cairo Accord.
There is no need for you to say you are Christian, because that does not lessen your lack of understanding of what Southerners have experienced as a result of the of Hizbollah’s ruthless rule and its allegiance to #Iran.
We, once believed the illusive “resistance” project. But after #Israel withdrew in 2000 implementing UNSC 425, fulfilling Ehud Barak’s 1999 campaign promise that, if elected PM, he would withdraw from #Lebanon within 12 months, all the masks fell. Only the misguided, like yourself, continued defending Iran’s mercenaries in Lebanon.
Hizbollah never believed in the vision of Lebanon as a sovereign state. Its founding manifesto—recorded both in audio and video—shows Hassan Nasrallah explicitly declaring that the objective was not for Lebanon to become an Islamic state, but rather to become an inseparable part of the Islamic Republic governed by the Supreme Leader (Wilayat al-Faqih).
UNSC 1559 was adopted in Sept. 2004. Its tragic consequence was the assassination of PM Rafik Hariri.
UNSC 1680 was adopted in May 2006. Its tragic consequence was dragging Lebanon into the war of July 2006, during which Ehud Olmert devastated Lebanon’s infrastructure. That war ended with UNSC 1701 in August 2006. Iran’s party then proceeded to invade #Beirut, tighten its grip over Lebanon, and effectively bury UNSCs 1559, 1680, and 1701.
Yet Hizbollah remained a servant of Iran. It unilaterally decided to “support Gaza” and declared war on Israel on 8 October 2023. One year later, Nasrallah was killed along with his successor, and Iran’s party signed the November 2024 ceasefire agreement, which again reaffirmed UNSC 1701.
The party did not comply. It did not surrender its weapons and had no desire to see Lebanon recover. Once again, Naim Qassem dragged Lebanon into Khamenei’s war of revenge.
Madam, tell your children what I, as a son of South Lebanon, tell mine.
The Cairo Agreement violated Lebanon’s sovereignty through the complicity of both the Arab League and the Lebanese state. From 1969 until 1982, the #PLO under Yasser Arafat effectively ruled Lebanon, until Ariel Sharon drove them out through the Port of Tripoli.
The #IRGC arrived in #Baalbek in Sept. 1982 under the name “Islamic Jihad,” and carried out the bombings of the U.S. Marines and French military headquarters in October 1983.
The organization later underwent a rebranding and renamed itself Hizbollah in February 1985. Its first terrorist achievement was the hijacking of TWA Flight 847 to Beirut International Airport in June 1985. Since then, Iran has not merely violated Lebanese sovereignty it has, in my view, effectively raped it.
The Lebanese Civil War ended and we entered the #Taif era. Yet Hizbollah refused to become part of the Lebanese state. Instead, it maintained its own army, hospitals, schools, bank, and its own snipers. It dragged us into “Grapes of Wrath” and every subsequent war up to this very day, while refusing to belong to Lebanon and insisting on belonging to Iran.
Tell your children that this is not our war. That Hizbollah is prepared to sacrifice your children and mine, your livelihoods and mine, as offerings to its supreme master, the Supreme Leader.
Tell your children that I, a Southerner, have rebuilt my home 3 times since the Cairo Accord. I have lost more friends than anyone should ever have to lose. And every day I thank God that my family survived.
Tell your children that the time has come to lay down arms and belong to the Lebanese state, to Lebanon and to the Lebanese Army.
Tell your children “enough lies.”
Tell your children: may God burn everyone who connived to turn Beirut into a human shield to protect the ammonium nitrate that was intended for Syria’s barrels of death.
Tell your children: Lebanon First 🇱🇧
A message from a Lebanese man in Beirut to @AnaKasparian, @cenkuygur and all other Hezbollah enthusiasts:
"Stop speaking on behalf of the Lebanese people. The vast majority of Lebanese people want Hezbollah to disarm. Most of us want peace with Israel."
THE ODYSSEY contains goddesses, sea monsters, and 60-foot-tall giants with one eye.
But the "historical accuracy" crowd is pressed because a few cast members have more melanin.
Not because of the whirlpool with a mouth. Or the witch who turns men into pigs.
MELANIN.
I am a Lebanese citizen, and I have a message for @RashidaTlaib.
Leave Lebanon alone.
You are a Palestinian-American member of Congress representing the people of Michigan. You have enough on your plate. And if you want to spend extra time on issues not related to your constituents or the U.S., keep it on Gaza or Mahmoud Abbas.
How dare you address our elected government and president by accusing them of abandoning their land and their people and becoming subcontractors for the “Israeli occupation?” Lebanon doesn’t need your opinion. What is your affiliation with my country? Who authorized you to speak for the Lebanese people? What do you know about our history, society, or the reality we have endured?
Your statement would be more applicable to the Islamic Republic of Iran or the IRGC. Replace “Israel” with “Iran,” and it would be much closer to reality. But since you’re offering Lebanon lessons on its future, here’s one from history. Israel signed peace treaties with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994. The Abraham Accords later normalized relations with the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco. Whatever people think of those agreements, they show that diplomacy and normalization do not have to mean war.
Lebanon’s prime minister is an international judge, and our president is the former commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces. They were chosen to serve Lebanon’s interests, not yours.
You are free to express your opinion. But you do not speak for Lebanon, and you do not get to dictate our country’s future. That decision belongs to the Lebanese people alone.
thank you my friend @realazadeh 🇱🇧🕊️
