A bit of Justice Fux’s vote:
-The Supreme Court is not the proper court to judge Bolsonaro. Or, at the very least, since Bolsonaro is being treated as a president, he should be “judged” in the plenary session, by the 11 justices of the Supreme Court;
-There was no right to broad defense, given that the Supreme Court has already annulled cases in which the defense had to analyze 4TB of files in a short time. In Bolsonaro’s case, his lawyers had 70TB to analyze, without any extension of deadlines, something that would take decades to watch all the videos and read all the documents and images, or, literally, billions of pages if everything were to be printed;
-Justice Fux pointed out that in the scandal known as the "Mensalão of the PT (Lula da Silva’s party)", it took 2 years for the indictment to be accepted and 5 years for the trial to conclude. In other words, the speed of this “trial” against Bolsonaro is totally anomalous and, obviously, did not allow the proper exercise of the right to defense;
-The crime of property damage would only apply if there were no more serious offense, such as a coup d’état;
-There is a combination of two crimes attributed to a single conduct ("bis in idem");
-There is no evidence that vandals acted under Bolsonaro’s orders; the causal link connecting any act of Bolsonaro to the vandalism of January 8th is missing - Fux does not even call them coup plotters or terrorists;
-He recalled that the left carried out several violent acts in the past and they were never considered a coup;
***Up to this moment, he has not yet finished casting his vote.
Now the world knows that Moraes is really a human rights violator.
Supreme court justice Fux is exposing how ridiculous is this Disney Coup trial, a real political persecution to take out Bolsonaro/rightwing out of the 2026 election.
Magnitsky sanctions should go to Europe too.
Fica aqui meu reconhecimento. A liberdade agradece. O Brasil tem voz no mundo. E a história está do nosso lado.
Deus abençoe o Brasil
God bless America
God bless @realDonaldTrump and @SecRubio
President Donald J. Trump speaks at the AI Summit:
"America is the country that started the AI race — and as President of the United States, I'm here today to declare that America is going to WIN it." 🇺🇸
.@POTUS made clear that his administration will hold accountable foreign nationals who are responsible for censorship of protected expression in the United States. Brazilian Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes's political witch hunt against Jair Bolsonaro created a persecution and censorship complex so sweeping that it not only violates basic rights of Brazilians, but also extends beyond Brazil's shores to target Americans.
I have therefore ordered visa revocations for Moraes and his allies on the court, as well as their immediate family members effective immediately.
Since day one, I’ve been calling out Alexandre de Moraes. I raised my voice in Congress to expose his abuse of power.
Censorship, arrests, and political persecution have no place in a democracy.
The visa revocation is a start, now we need full accountability.
🇧🇷 BRAZIL: THE FIGHT FOR FREE SPEECH IS FAR FROM OVER
The Brazilian government tried to shut down X, but they failed. Despite Justice Alexandre de Moraes issuing secret orders to censor content and threatening to imprison X’s legal representative, censorship didn’t work.
When their attempts to silence free speech failed, they turned to a darker tactic: relentless threats.
These threats were so severe that X’s team was forced to leave the country.
This isn’t how a democracy operates—this is the playbook of a totalitarian regime desperate to maintain control by suppressing free communication.
@elonmusk and @lindyax decision to keep X online in Brazil, even as offices were shuttered, is a powerful stand for free speech.
It’s a reminder that even in the face of oppressive regimes, the voice of the people cannot be easily silenced.
His commitment to this fight is a beacon for those who value freedom, and it highlights the stark choice facing Brazil today.
Brazil now stands at a crossroads: will it embrace democracy and the free exchange of ideas, or will it fall deeper into the grip of censorship and authoritarian control?
The world is watching, and the fight for free speech is far from over.

Assustador.
