Validator selection sounds like a small part of a blockchain. But if the process isn't random enough, it can become a security concern.

That's what makes @BeldexCoin's latest work on VRF based PoS consensus interesting.

The idea is to make validator selection more verifiable and unpredictable while improving the overall consensus process.

• Better randomness when selecting validators

• Less room for manipulation around who gets selected

• Stronger security for the consensus layer

This research is also laying the groundwork for Beldex's upcoming VRF Consensus Hardfork.

So it's not just another feature being added on top.

They're working on the part of the network that decides who gets to participate in securing it.

And I like seeing @NucleusCodes bringing more attention to this kind of technical work around projects like Beldex.
