@MeLikePixels@SteinMakesGames Yeah bluesky is so shit. You should definitely stay on X, pretty please. And make sure to tell your friends too!
It's a horrible platform. And it's so WOKE. You really wouldn't wanna go there.
small little cut i made for the godotengine showcase submission.
What do you think, i heard it looks like the dev is playing the game the way I move in it, rather than an actual player

@wojtekpil@whatmeigel what... can you elaborate even more about your experience with it.
I always watched mohsen zahres videos and all, i just never gave Mterrain a whirl simply because the setup process seemed kind of long.
My actual production Balatro project folder is called “CardGame” and is still in my “Learning” directory, if that tells you anything about the expectations I had for the game
@FreyaHolmer How far can you go, before having to make the decision between unity vs. standalone. Are there ways you can test which one works better before committing to either?
Maybe you could find the community around the tool soonish, and then let them guide you with the dev direction.
@FreyaHolmer If that is the main value your tool provides. Then that puts you squarely into making this into a Unity plugin. Not a standalone app, no questions asked.
@FreyaHolmer I have another Q, what's the value of your tool with respect to others?
What I am gathering is, that it is in-engine level editing. So distances and heights and the size of things is easier to judge in game, in comparison to making a level in e.g. blender and exporting it.
@FreyaHolmer Professionals are usually to comfortable in their chosen 3D package, and there is a big inertia to learning anything else.
The tool material maker instead has a quick way of re-exporting it's materials to all three major engines. Maybe something like that is possible for you?
@FreyaHolmer And is it professional devs or indies & novices.
I am thinking that the latter will be moving to godot as it is free, lightweight and the programming language is easier than c#. And aside from godot, those people might be making content for e.g. roblox and so on.
Ahhh! Finally after years of feeling inadequate and trying to create something that is "big enough" to publish, I bring one of my oldest games Project: KNOSSOS (and one I still tour with from exhibition to exhibition!) to STEAM!
