I think the premise and historical context is right, but where AI is different:

1) it is compounding itself at a rate faster than any other invention in human history - it literally doubles capability every N months.

2) where as the Industrial Revolution required time and skilled labor to expand, AI (at least for knowledge work) just requires more silicon and more browsers

Where I think the long poll here is robotics. For it to truly reach end game of “doing all the things that humans can do, self directed” is by crossing into the realm of the physical and that will take time.

But no, this is different because in all previous revolutions it was humans using new tools. Now, AI uses tools and “resson” so at what point is the need for humans removed?

For knowledge work, this point is coming faster than anyone expected and the disruption will cause civil unrest because the amount of time required for humans to adopt will not keep up with the pace of AI advancements.

This time it’s sheerly a factor of the time window and compounding nature of the invention, not the I no mention itself (but in the endgame the invention itself does matter)

A better way to have stated it was “an American Citizen exercising his first and second amendment rights was forcibly disarmed of his holstered weapon and executed - in the back - by a tyrannical federal government.” Enforcing immigration law does not mean you murder American Citizens in the process.

It’d be great if the Dutch worried about real issues impacting its citizens and the world, like the catastrophic failure and third world situation at #Schiphol due to a few inches of snow and a failure to maintain proper equipment due to those “environment” issues you try to shove down everyone else’s throats
