I feel like the process of learning codebases should be more guided, interactive, and integrated into your editor. Not buried in documentation. To improve onboarding, and make it easy to create such learning assets, I created a "tutorial recorder" for @code. It's called Code Tour
New spool! https://t.co/rv2P7KE6dP is out. Implements the fabulous #retry module into #fabrix apps easily. It also adds lifecycles to operations and gracefully unloads. Happy weaving!
New @segment spool released for fabrix! Easily add analytics to your fabrix apps, also has several utility functions to make it even easier!

We wrote our roadmap for 2.0 quite a while ago, most features we implemented without a major change, so we are going to aim a little higher and re-write the 2.0 plans. The biggest of small changes are coming! Because of our #tupleSpace and #emitter, we’re going distributed! #CDRT
@jaumard@ThePracticalDev There are many great node frameworks out there 😀 but where fabrix really shines in this comparison is that you can use any http server you want, or even none at all.
Working to implement a backwards compatible SWIM algorithm to fabrix to distribute spool across machines and methods across threads. Run it on 1 machine or a 1000, it should just work. Like serverless without the vendor lock-in. Oh, and it could work in the browser?! #distribute
Having a well defined API is not always about the code working, but also error handeling. With Spool-errors, we now have a standard for defining consistent errors that can even define the spool they are contained in. It will take time to get this in all 50 spools, but #worthit
What is that “can’t live without” feature that #loopback, #Next, #Feather, etc has? Trying to figure out why they are popular 😅. Retweet’s appreciated!
I was just told - THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE END OF MY MATERNITY LEAVE - that my job doesn't exist any more 😠
I'm available for a remote developer 🥑 / DevRel position - Preferably part time (25-30 hours/week), but would consider full time for an awesome job.
Please 🔄
Thanks ❤️
Spool-caches lets you easily switch adapters for a cache storage on systems like mongo, redis, memcache, even flat file. Even cacheing to multiile cache providers at once! At this point, if you need it, there’s probably a spool for that.
We’ve always been a fan of the #Joi library, today, we released spool-joi so that you can configure Joi once and use it easily in your fabrix app! #Hacktoberfest
