The two major parties are rorting the system.
Last week, the minor parties tried to get more time to scrutinise to proposed bills, namely the Safety Online Bill and the Electoral Amendment Act by moving an amendment to the closure dates for these inquiries.
Of course the amendment didn’t get up and people were only given a day to lodge submissions for the Online Safety Bill.
I suspect both of these proposed bills will be passed at the end of this week with no debate as the major parties don’t want to be scrutinised.
The electoral amendment act seeks to increase the amount of taxpayer money the parties receive from $3.50 a vote to $5.00 a vote, an increase of almost 42%. They are effectively giving themselves a massive pay rise at your expense. Add to this the extra votes they get from higher immigration and they are bleeding the taxpayer dry.
If you ever needed a reason not to vote for the major parties this is it. They are effectively a unity party that are only interested in using you not serving you.

Overwhelmingly fatiguing!
Hands up those parents who’ve contacted the government about restricting children’s access to social media because they are overwhelmingly fatigued?
Yesterday the government stated that parents in consultation with them have said they are overwhelmingly fatigued presumably in managing their children’s access to social media.
Has our nation become that soft that taking devices from our children is fatiguing?
Seriously how hard is it to set some rules. No devices in bedrooms and no devices on weekdays are two we use - it’s not that hard. Furthermore it’s takes probably less than a minute to see what the children are using with the right software, so I’m not sure why it’s that hard even at 11 o’clock at night.
Yeah occasionally we get pushback but there’s nothing like a good old fashioned bit of discipline to keep our children on the straight and narrow.
The idea that restricting children to devices is somehow perceived as fatiguing shows how soft we’ve become. It’s time to ditch the nanny state.

Australia's under-16s social media ban could violate the implied freedom of political communication in the Constitution, and is likely to lead to a High Court challenge.

🚨URGENT CALL TO ACTION REGARDING “SOCIAL MEDIA MINIMUM AGE” LEGISLATION🚨
Submissions for inquiry to the ‘Social Media Minimum Age’ Bill have just opened and we only have 24 hours.
This bill is a national Digital ID program dressed in a very poor disguise.
Labor and the Coalition are trying to rush it through the Senate without debate— so they can force everyone to use their Age Verification Digital Identity technology.
Submissions are only open for 24 hours, so please make sure to send yours through ASAP and share this video around.

Hey you morons, Australians overwhelmingly voted against the infamous, misleading and divisive Voice to Parliament! You either have a very short memory or don’t give a toss about democracy!
Today in Question Time, I confronted Senator Wong about the Labor government’s plan to run massive new transmission lines through prime agricultural land and national parks connecting to unreliable and costly wind and solar project zones slated to cover up to a third of Queensland.
Despite the enormous impact on farmers' livelihoods and the integrity of our national parks, the government has failed to properly inform the affected communities and landowners. This lack of transparency is nothing short of a cover-up.
This is a warning to the people of Queensland: the Labor government is pushing forward with a plan that will trash your land rights, devastate your livelihoods, and alter the landscape with wind turbines, solar panels, and transmission lines. The lack of consultation and transparency is an insult, and we must hold them accountable before it’s too late!
Pauline Hanson says what we all now know
Labor has been installed by the unions with one clear mandate - to keep the money flowing in to fake Chinese renewables
And who wins? China, the billionaires and unions
And who are the losers? Us Australians
“This is a scam paid for by the Australian taxpayer with subsidies, and by Australian consumers with their record high energy bills.
Labor and its union masters don’t want this corrupt gravy train derailed by nuclear energy.
That’s why they’ve come out swinging against it, while once again showing their absolute contempt for the intelligence of the Australian people.”
