Happy to share our last publication. Diclofenac and colistin synergistically act against colistin-resistant A baumannii in mice at low concentration. They repress expression of type IV pili, causing an antivirulence effect! https://t.co/3RDNQgOIpi
Excited to share our new preprint describing a novel chronic model of infection for Acinetobacter. We can now study secondary/polymicrobial infections, test antibiotic treatments for days and discover virulence factors required for persistent infections

New preprint from my postdoc with Bonnie Bassler! We show that phage VP882 responds to different host factors depending on the environmental context of the infected host, highlighting the need to study phage-bacteria interactions in relevant contexts to get the full picture.
I am thrilled to announce our new preprint. It truly was a team effort!
Diclofenac sensitizes multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii to colistin https://t.co/PGd5JAEWZN
Excited to share our new preprint. We found that the NSAID diclofenac together with colistin synergistically reduce type IV pili and induce oxidative stress to eliminate infection by colistin-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii. Great work by @fabybisaro and many colleagues
Federico Martin describes variations in promoter regions that are common across stress response genes. Useful for accumulating QTL for stress resistance. #PAG30
The poster session in AcinetoVibes was amazing!! Congrats to @fabybisaro from the @BCID2014 pukatzki lab, Jinna Bai (Geisinger lab) and Katie Kang (@BollLab) for winning the best posters prizes! Your prize is a belgian beer from @CVanderHenst1 in the next in person conference
Join us for #VibriOnline2020, the first virtual #Vibrio meeting! May 27-29. Awesome speaker lineup! Free registration at https://t.co/1RNosLTdWY

Last week I had the privilege to co-host a virtual conference on T6SS, which had 400 attendees and it went extremely well. Now my lab is thinking it is time for an #acinetobacter international conference via Zoom. I need a co-host. What do you guys think?
