Rape is caused by one thing:
A rapist.
Not her clothes.
Not alcohol.
Not flirting.
Not walking home alone.
Not trusting the wrong person.
Stop interrogating the victim’s choices and start blaming the person who chose to rape.
rape is a crime beyond rehabilitation & restoration. that is something i can’t forgive even if i wasn’t a victim of it. it is a choice, a deeply sinister one. idc if someone only did it once, they don’t deserve the same access & privileges that the world can offer.
too many men thinking they’re the “good ones” because they’re not physically harming women but they’re still ample beholders and enforcers of misogyny. the way you speak about them, the way you punch down on their looks, their interests. it is all intertwined
The last 24 hours of news as a woman:
- A man jacks off to the woman next to him on a plane. United makes her return to her seat.
- 7 frat boys drug and gang rape a student for hours, and advertise “free p*ssy” to their frat. Cornell makes them write essays.
- A football player rapes a student. LSU reduces his suspension.
- A teen boy stalks and stabs a girl 10 times. Courts grant only a restraining order.
- Brendan Carr spent 9 years in a cult raping teen girls. Trump made him FCC Chair.
i just don't understand how you, as a man, can hear about a terrible gang rape and immediately say "not all men". you're more interested in covering your ass than being disgusted at such a thing happening in the first place
