@AP Hard to believe that there are still people who support Trump and his BIG LIE. Even harder to believe his supporters have now turned a very violent insurrection against our democracy into a celebration. The fiction is created by a disgruntled minority.
@GrassleyPress@SenateGOP If you are sincere in defending our constitution, you should not have voted against the Jan 6 bipartisan commission to investigate the very violent, dangerous and real (we all saw it) insurrection against our constitution and democracy. The GOP is going in the wrong direction.
@SenLummis Rather hypocritical, Cynthia, since you voted against the Jan 6 bipartisan commission to investigate the violent, serious and very real (we all saw it) insurrection against our constitution and democracy. Your tweet sounds like tribal politispeak to me.
@JohnBoozman@SenateGOP How, exactly, have you defended our constitution by voting against the Jan 6 commission to investigate the violent and real (we all saw it on TV) insurrection against our constitution and democracy? Sounds like insincere politispeak to me, John.
@SenRickScott Rather hypocritical, Rick, as you voted against the Jan 6 commission to investigate the violent and real (we all saw it on TV) insurrection against our constitution and democracy. As senator, your role is to do everything in your power to protect against attacks on our democracy.
@SenBillCassidy And thank you, Bill, for voting for the bipartisan Jan 6 commission. You put party politics aside to defend our constitution and democracy. Not forgotten.
@SenTuberville@SenateGOP Interesting that Tommy Tuberville believes strongly in our constitution, but voted against a bipartisan Jan 6 commission to investigate a violent and real insurrection against our constitution and democracy. Some in GOP are now changing the facts to fit their political agenda.
@SenJoniErnst@SenateGOP If Joni Ernst is so supportive of our constitution, why did she vote against a Jan 6 commission to investigate a very serious and real threat to our constitution and our democracy?
@GOP You are fighting a non-issue because of the BIG LIE. Don't you have better things to do, like moving the GOP back to a respected conservative party that didn't rely on lies, reality TV stars and conspiracy theories to attract more members?
It doesn't matter what you believe about masks. Airlines are owned by companies that can make their own policies and refuse service to those who don't abide by their policies. Physically abusing flight attendants is also against the law. Don't like the policy, don't fly.
@AnuragwKujur@AP Then these intelligent people should understand that they are flying on an airline owned by a company that has a right to make its own policy. Their failure to adhere to that policy and physically attacking flight attendants is not their unalienable right.
@Coach_Eisy@POTUS The vaccine protects people from serious illness and death. Pfizer is 94% effective, not 100%, which means some may still develop symptoms. Data is still being collected about how many vaccinated people can still carry the virus. It's a new pathogen, so we are all still learning.
@WannabePAAG @POTUS A new variant (or virus for that matter) takes time to understand, which is why we have evolving information as more data is available. From the data so far, it appears the Delta variant may be as much as 200% more contagious than the original, which would make it more serious.
@_aTm2004@POTUS Unfortunately, vaccine hesitancy is causing more outbreaks, hospitalizations and deaths. And sadly many people see a valid public health issue as a divisive tribal political issue, instead of coming together as a country as we did with smallpox and polio.
@Axelmartin95 @POTUS The vaccine prevents symptoms in most people. Some will still get mild symptoms (it's 94%, not 100% effective), so a few can still feel sick if exposed. It is very effective at preventing hospitalization and death, which is the most important function of any vaccine.
@WSBChairman@POTUS Are you talking about the Lamda strain that is showing up in Peru right now? So far, it looks like the vaccine is effective against it, but there's not enough data yet.
@dixsicle@POTUS The current vaccines are still effective against Delta, which is a Covid variant. Variants of an original strain develop the longer a virus gets passed from person to person. The Delta is 200% more transmissible than the original, so unvaccinated people are at much higher risk.
