Who is interested in a business (who is obviously partnered with an RTO) and is selling RPL qualifications to any one who will listen? Here is the transcript. The bolded shows how the sales person is advising the student (me) they don't need to be signed off by their manager, or a senior person. Anyone will do. A friend etc. Read the transcript: Updated

I told them I have no qualifications. And I had been working as a support worker for 6 months.

Transcript from Phone Call Friday 24th October 2025

Me: So you can help me get a qualification even though I haven't had much experience?

Sales Person: Just… yes, I know, that’s it. That’s step one. It will be the thing of evidence. You will have a list of documentations that you need to submit. Documentations that prove your work experience, like the case notes, client notes, progress notes, etcetera.

Me: You would give me a list of documentations that you need to submit?

Sales Person: All right, don’t you worry. We abide by the Privacy Act. We won’t ask you for anything that’s confidential. When we say client notes, progress, etc., they don’t need to be the original documentation for security purposes, yes. Instead, you can do what most of our students are doing — you can take a picture and then lay out what they need to grey out. You can scan them and then just block out what you need to black out for security purposes. Or, if you’re feeling really, really motivated and have more time, you can even write them on MS Word and that would suffice.

Me: Yep.

Sales Person: Okay. Now, the final step, Gina, would be the third‑party sign off of your skill. So with this, you’ve just got to nominate one person. It could be your manager, it could be your supervisor, it could be anyone who works with you. Do you have anyone in mind who can do it for you?

Me: Oh, right. So they have to sign me off on these thing? As in my Recognition of Prior Learning or my evidence to show I have done this work, sorry. Is that what you’re saying? Can you say that again?

Sales Person: So you need someone in my workplace who can verify that I’ve done these things, like someone who knows what you do for work.

Me: Yep, no worries.

Sales Person: Someone who could take some responsibility. Okay, you know?

Me: All right.

Sales Person: Awesome. Well, I’m pretty sure this is going to be easy for you because you, you for sure have friends in the sector who can actually do it for you. You just need one person to nominate.

Me: Okay, so it doesn’t have to be a manager. It could just be somebody else I know that works for a provider?

Sales Person: It could be, yeah. Like a friend. If you’re shy about asking your manager, that’s perfectly fine — I would feel the same. Yeah. But yeah, if you have a friend who does the same thing as you, who’s at the same level as yourself, you can ask your friend to do it for you.
