Not exactly. Nigeria is already a relatively low-trust society and financial institutions operate within that context. Established commercial banks have spent decades building institutional legitimacy and public confidence so they generally have more reputational capital to draw on in case of controversies. Retail banks and fintechs don’t have that cushion. Still doesn’t mean the stakes are lower. If anything, the margin for error is much smaller for them because they have less accumulated trust to absorb public backlash or reputational risks, even if the specific risks and consequences are different for them.

I also need everyone to understand that no bank is gaining anything from careless content like that; they’re only losing. Anyone who doesn’t see the issue with working in a bank and creating content with an ATM vault in the background has a serious problem. Even you as a customer are not allowed to photograph sensitive areas.
