Analysed the structural brilliance of TNCFU. I was amazed by how it framed its brutality against a lingering sense of hopelessness, and how the fight scenes withheld the much needed catharsis to deliver a sense of further numbness https://t.co/Qk1AkUwZoM
As with each fight, people are just more desperate to end it all. And with each, more brutal fight, the audience becomes more numb instead of getting excited, placing then in the same place as the protagonist by the end of the film.
This way, Writer Director @Timobros really nailed the brutality and fatalistic overtones of a life beset by crime, and be did all this through set pieces. Hell, even the trope of fight scenes getting more brutal is subverted

There is an undeniable air of majesty in the air of Ramadan, but mist of us have failed to put our fingers on it. In this column, I attempt to do just that, and make my own tribute to this holy month.

Basically, that’s the crux of my argument here. With the way things are, a mass exile like the one from passing centuries is bound to happen anyway. Why not do it sooner? And from a position of power?

As such, I argue that the best course of action available right now is to leave. It is cowardly and it non inclusive. But when the ship is sinking, it’s better to get off with the people one holds dear, rather than sticking to childish sentiments like nationalism. (5/6)
The solutions offered are opposed by the majority, and as Zeus and his cronies are dependent on the people, the drastic measures needed to eradicate this plague don’t seem like they will be implemented anytime soon. From here, things can only get worse. (4/6)
But the solutions only served as talking points, and the performance arts are only remembered for there aesthete qualities. Ground level organisations are barely equipped to fight this problem. And as burns, the gods of Olympus are partying it up. (3/6)
Following the horrific rape of an adolescent, the whole country went up in an uproar. Intellectuals from all around came up and offered ‘solutions’. Activists group took to the streets as well, with performative arts that they thought would solve the problem. (2/6)
