BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie loses his GOP primary in Kentucky to Ed Gallrein, NBC News projects, in another victory for President Trump as he targets dissenters in his party. https://t.co/6DcnJskTRX
Cornyn as AG would make a lot of sense and would probably be uncontroversial with the Dems. But would Cornyn want it, and would he last long if he pushed back against Trump?
Remember when President Trump said he was going to endorse either Paxton or Cornyn then *ask the other to drop out*? What happened with that? Instead, he endorsed Paxton while calling Cornyn "a good man." Today's language was measured for him.
@ColtonYarbro Probably a lot. I've found a number of very helpful ministries online like Ligonier Ministries and Desiring God, as well as many good pastors that put out good content that has helped me go deeper than I may have otherwise gone.
MAGA taking great pains to push out reliable conservatives like Cornyn, Massie, and Sasse continues to tell me that MAGA doesn't want me to vote Republican. The Dems going all in on Talarico tells me that don't want me voting Democrat.
So I guess I'll be writing in my own name.
@HansFiene There's another guy who is walking across the world much faster. He's 3 years in and has crossed Australia and Asia. https://t.co/EQxQiRr8fV
If anything that supports your predetermined view counts as evidence, but anything that contradicts it only counts as evidence of a cover-up, then the last thing you're seeking is the truth.
He chose to focus on Luke because his story is a classic hero arc. The villain arc is harder to do, especially with a fandom built on a classic hero story. Lucas got too focused on fun and fan service rather than a engaging, belivable villain origin story.
That Lucas had the prequel arc generally sketched out in the early days but chose not to start with it makes sense. He started with the story arc he could turn into entertaining films.
Lucas hadn't decided exactly what episode it should be, but even Gary Kurtz admits that subtitling it as a middle episode was the plan early on. Fox nixed it because they thought it would confuse the audience:
That means the prequel arc had problems from the start, and no one stepped in during the making of the prequels to make them into tight, coherent film stories.
@ColtonYarbro@matt_everhard Zoomer is a cautionary tale of internet discipleship. There are a lot of voices out there, so we should know about the people we give our ears to before we listen in depth. Zoomer is an interesting guy, but he is young in age and in faith, so his words should be taken with salt.
