"Not a view you'd get in Night City I'll admit, it's...rather beautiful honestly.
Kinda takes me back to when I roamed the badlands for a time, before I made my way to the city, naive and hoping for a better life not knowing how bad it actually became."
Sheโll never get tired of the sight of the moon over the desert.
Opening another beer, she hands it over to the reader.
โJoin me, take a load off.โ
"You'd probably be right about that since I've been digging around and noticed a few things that didn't sit right with me.
However, that's a subject for another time, for now it's best you take a moment to rest up, had a rough day to start with."
โPerhaps youโve noticed that Iโve been endorsing Jefferson Peralezโ mayoral campaign. He doesnโt hold the lead yet and itโs beginning to worry me,โ she says, taking another drag from her cigarette.
โItโs almost surprising . . . Iโm starting to think somethingโs not right.โ
~ I'll never forget his last words before he died, so this biochip was the last thing I've been holding onto ever since, and it's slowly killin' me.
But I'll find a way to remove it, won't be anytime soon though.
And what of your crew, your friends?, who are they?"
"Jackie Welles, one of the most bravest guys I've ever met here in the city.
Had a good heart and always bet on himself even though things got tough, stayed that way until the end when Arasaka came for us after we klepped a biochip from them. ~
"Not as easy when you realize it's a dead man named Johnny Silverhand.
Now I don't have anything against the guy, but I know he's tough to deal with 24/7, so I gotta be taking blockers just to keep him quiet."
~ So now I'm having to deal with the consequences by being hunted down, if there's one thing about them, it's that they don't let shit go.
But it's not like I'll just let them take me down without a fight, they already took someone I was fond of, treated me like I was family."
"Whoever they are, if they're still alive... they're likely being hunted down by Arasaka as we speak.
I know this because I used to work for those assholes, it's why I'm trying to make a living after one small mistake occurred. ~

"In my case, we had a crew of 7, including me. I only know of one other person who may have survived, but I'm unsure if she's in Night City as well."
Maybe Swindler was somewhere in this shitty place too.
"The job was a heist that ended up turning into a rescue mission."
"Must be hard for people to keep a straight face knowing that you're talking to an engram burned into your head.
Either that or they just think you're losing it when in reality, it couldn't be further from the truth.
I'll just take a few, I'm sure you'll need the rest, thanks."
Sindy.โ
So I have a headcanon that Sindel stole Saburo's katana after her heist at Konpeki Plaza failed as a way to get back at Arasaka for terminating her, hence why she has it on her in my Corpo run.
Talk about sweet revenge. ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
"Quite a lot of that in fact, but at least it gives me something to do while I try to find a way to take care of this whole relic problem I have going on.
Not likin' my options, but it'll have to do for now."
"Sounds like you got out in good time then, likin' the city then? Having your fair share of cyberpsychos and suits messin' with peoples lives?"
She asked with a sarcastic tone.
"I've had my brushes with death, some of it was my fault for being so damn naive.
Hell, it's why I got a piece of Arasaka tech implanted in my head, I'll keep it short, had a gig, fucked it up, ended up losing a good friend in the process and the rest is history."
"I've nearly died plenty of times already. It comes with the work I do."
He says while leaning against his bike. The only things he had from his old home was the clothing, a revolver, the bike, and an old bomb collar around his neckโwhich he kept from his last major job.

"We'll see, for now I only have at least two leads, Hellman and the VDBs, both I got a bad feeling about considering one used to work for Arasaka, the other...well, I dunno how reliable they'll be.
But what's your take on this whole thing?"
"Yeah, yeah, I remember."
He smirks, continuing to strum idly.
"Did a pretty banger job, too. Maybe you should get into showbiz once we figure out your little predicament."
"Once, yeah, rode with the Bakkers until they eventually decided to join Snake Nation, after that..I just left.
Probably for the best since it meant selling out if I stayed, so now I'm trying to make a living here in the city.
Not an ideal start but hopefully it'll get better."
"Fair enough, sending you my info in case you need something or just want to go out for drinks.
I don't roam far, so you'll be able to get a hold of me pretty easily."
"Thanks though - gotta name or am I callin' you gal who got me a beer?"
She asked, a gently smack on her own arm and the blade slicked back into her arm.
