@Toinito Coucou!
@Orbitaldropkick And I think the idea that ttrpg is system agnostic comes from a viewpoint steeped in soft systems to the marrow. Sure you can let the DM do all the work, but you can also design a weird, super specialized tool, that will help them tell stories they'd never have told alone
@Orbitaldropkick I think there are "soft" systems, that can run many kinds of stories without adding much to them or supporting them, and need a lot of aesthetic work on the DM's part, and "hard" systems that can tell fewer kinds of stories but carry more of that aesthetic load
@sweetpotato787@ZakB108@SaffronOlive You can't ignore the flashback either. I think it's arguably the most important parts of faithless looting, it plays into what the decks that include looting want so much. Reunion might have been broken with flashback
@Zerglinator @MtGmarkov war barbarians. classical time control barbarians. unlike the other kinds of barbarians who only like skirmishes or blitzkrieg.
(fr tho that's a bitchin portmanteau)
@MtGmarkov Obviously a tech in case your opponent is taxing your creatures (quite unusual compared to non-creatures), like with damping sphere, sphere of resistance or lodestone golem. Alternatively synergizes with geist-fueled scarecrow! Value, question mark question mark question mark???
@SaffronOlive Late to the party, but I feel like dungeons are more of a "modal card effect" than a parasitic mechanic+cards that start in your hand. I see it as if the cards with "venture into the dungeon" have modal, cyclical text to replace that effect with. It's true they see each other tho
@Zerglinator @MtGmarkov It's an escape button for that situation when mana burn would deal lethal to you! You can sac the creature so you get the pay X trigger to sink your mana into when the enchant goes to the yard. Because it's relevant so often it's definitely worth the added complexity.
