By the way, farm murders are 0,3% of all South African murders. Even if they are tripled, they still wouldn't reach 1%. More children are murdered in Cape Town in a year than farmers killed in the whole country over a decade. Farm attacks are just utter propaganda.

It’s funny—through teaching others, you end up learning a lot about yourself. I realized just how much ground I’ve covered, how much wisdom and experience I’ve picked up over the years. When you’re caught up in the daily grind, you don’t always see how far you’ve come. But being there as a mentor was a reminder of that progress, and it gave me a boost of confidence to keep going.
And that’s why giving back matters. You might feel like you’re pouring yourself out, but it always comes back in some way. For me, it came back as this deeper awareness of my journey.
Thank you to @NonhlanhlaGoqo and Streetlight Schools grade 9s for the chance to reflect, to share, and to learn by teaching. Always grateful for these experiences.

As the Gauteng water crisis intensifies with more areas experiencing dry taps and businesses closing doors, government has no data on how much it would cost the economy for every day the province is without water.
This staggering admission was made by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition.

The sad reality is that 40% of South Africans did not vote in our last election is a chilling statistic that should be a national public debate – how legitimate are those who today sit in our Parliament? No party won an outright majority. Most South Africans do not trust our political parties, including the oldestliberation movement in Africa, the ANC.
Land reform has failed and barriers to black entrepreneurs accessing finances are strewn with obstacles. Our economy remains largely untransformed from an ownership level. I reject the statistics on black workers pension funds as these are controlled by investment companies more interested in retail shopping sectors, fancy hotels and infrastructure far from where black workers live. I do not see the political will in GNU to address the legacy of racism in our economy and how it continues to exclude the majority of our people. Poverty and the fact that we are pariah of inequality in the world all confirm that the majority of those who are marginalised by poverty, inequality and joblessness are black, young, rural and female.
This should be what our national public debate should be in our country. 🙏🏾💜 @CathyMohlahlana #SafmTalkingPoint #SAFM 30 Years of Democracy in South Africa: dreams, realities and futures https://t.co/N8z0qY94dX
