Only thing we need now is a consistent way to fund projects since Ad Revenue is pennies and all we have left besides that is merch sales for projects that can afford it.
I think we as a community need to come together and figure out how to solve this issue
I think there is a little bit a misunderstanding here in terms of how "compositing" works in a USA animation production with a vendor studio. In my experience the four people mentioned here are probably "fixers" who are on-staff to do retakes and add small bits of polish.

Tip for new indie creators: do not hire artists looking for work, promise compensation and then not have your company together yet. It's okay if you have plans to raise your budget/plans to get your company together down the line, but don't do it at the expense of other people.

@allisonperryart@TheNazzaro There needs to be a bigger discussion about these indie projects having extremely predatory contracts out of nowhere that they expect you to sign
@allisonperryart@TheNazzaro I heard this take way back when I did some work for an indie studio who promised me that my project would be funded by investors, and all they needed was for me to effectively sign my rights to it away :)
@emilyzulllo -the main problems we're experiencing right now. You release something simple and people shit all over you cause it's not anime or owl house level or anything. I'm glad that Kiana Mai's pilot did well, and hope it paves the way for more viable pilots via the animatic route
@emilyzulllo I just feel like people need to lower their expectations, they're expecting industry level work from small groups of people who use their free time to make what they're passionate about. And I feel like that's reinforcing a dangerous expectation that is leading to--
