Ghana is not poor. Ghana is under-processed.
Gold leaves. Cocoa leaves. Oil leaves. Manganese leaves. Bauxite leaves. Cashew leaves. Shea leaves. Then they return as chocolate, jewellery, fuel, batteries, cosmetics and “foreign goods.” Why?

Accra, July 1995 — Severe floods after torrential rains killed at least 20 people and caused widespread damage across the capital and nearby towns. As rescue and clean-up efforts continued, President Jerry John Rawlings visited the worst-hit areas.
I’m so shocked by this response
This is a clear example of a whole lot of nothing😩😩😩
Take a listen to what the minister about the flooding in Accra and tell me what you heard here
According to NDC logic, the only person allowed to criticize this government is an NPP person.
So if a citizen complains about floods, bad roads, unemployment or the cost of living, they don’t ask whether the complaint is true. They first ask which party card you’re hiding.
That is the sickness in our politics.
Accountability is not opposition work. It is citizens’ work. If your party is in power and you suddenly lose the ability to question power, you are not doing politics. You are doing worship.

The same Ghanaians who throw rubbish into gutters here will travel abroad and follow the rules not because their character suddenly changed. They follow the rules because the system there will punish them if they don’t. You can’t beg people to “behave properly” and call that governance. No serious country runs on begging.
“If you didn’t solve it in 8 years, why do you expect it to be solved in 2 years?”
That is a very shallow and disrespectful thing to say about floods that have been killing Ghanaians for years. Why do they always speak as if this is their first time governing the country? Ghana does not belong to NPP and NDC. Ghana belongs to the people.
A government cannot take credit when things go well and blame citizens when things go wrong. Leadership means taking responsibility for the system, even when citizens are part of the problem. If crime increases, we do not say “citizens should stop committing crime” and end the conversation. We ask what the police, courts, intelligence services, and government are doing. Flooding should be treated the same way.
i have a question.
when both parties are in opposition, they have so many ideas, solutions and suggestions. where does it all go when they assume power? and why don’t the parties understand that 4 - 8 years is alot of time to make an impact?
i am genuinely curious.
Can’t believe the government has managed to convince ordinary citizens that it is their job to clean communities, clear gutters, enforce sanitation laws, stop illegal dumping, remove buildings in waterways and somehow punish offenders too. SMH 🤦🏾♂️
If people are building in waterways, who gave them permits? Who looked away? Who failed to demolish illegal structures before floods came? Citizens may break the law but government is paid to stop lawlessness before it becomes disaster. This government is failing us!
