Ankara hosted NATO. It did not own the aftermath.

The summit exposed Europe’s new compulsion: deter Russia, operate without Turkish permission, hedge American volatility and turn sovereignty from language into architecture.

NATO remains the platform, not the ceiling. Turkey is a NATO member, not an EU member, and that distinction is now operational.

Article 5 deters external aggression. It does not underwrite Turkish adventurism, launder occupation, convert Hamas networks into an alliance burden, or require Europe to arm the state testing Greek sovereignty and occupying Cypriot territory.

Turkey is not a bridge.
It is a tollbooth.
The answer Ankara cannot veto is Article 42(7) of the Lisbon Treaty. Lisbon 2.0 is not another treaty; it is Lisbon’s second life: mutual defense turned into force, industry, stockpiles, mobility, command and reflex.

Cyprus is the test. Occupied northern Cyprus is occupied EU territory. Europe cannot punish Moscow’s occupation while treating Ankara’s as a frozen inconvenience. If it does, it has no strategic autonomy. It has vocabulary.

Washington is the western file. Trump is not the enemy; he is the allied liability. He can flatter Erdogan, but he cannot bypass the American state.

The F-35 file proves it. Erdogan received access to the room, not access to the aircraft. The Oval Office is powerful. It is not the republic.

The file also runs through what Turkey already holds: F-16 upgrades, munitions, spares, sensors, software, data links and maintenance permissions. A state that occupies Cyprus, threatens Greek sovereignty, hosts Hamas and weaponizes Western access cannot retain normal end-user trust.

Greenland is the northern warning. When an American president speaks about controlling allied territory, Europe sees the risk: even friendly presence can become leverage over sovereignty. The United States can remain a partner. It cannot remain the condition.

For Israel, this is a planning file. No ally, corridor, supplier, base or permission can become the system.

Israel is not an add-on to Europe’s emerging order. It is one of its operational engines: missile defense, drone warfare, intelligence fusion, adaptation under fire, reserve mobilization, maritime awareness and the instinct to act before delay becomes doctrine.

Israel, Greece and Cyprus are the hinge. Europe’s hard-power core gives it mass.

This is what Ankara fears: ports it cannot blackmail, air corridors it cannot close, supply chains it cannot squeeze, defense programs it cannot enter, sanctions routes it cannot leak, and a European reflex that no longer waits for Turkish permission.

This is what Trump cannot monopolize: an order that keeps America as partner without making America the condition for sovereignty.

The summit was in Ankara. The architecture is being forced away from Ankara.

Not as an idea.
As the public frame for mandates already underway.

For the past eighteen months, I have led active mandates with governments, institutions, companies and decision-makers: reading states as systems, pricing risk before it hardens, building access before it is needed, and turning position into power.

Greece is where Europe holds its ground in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.

For Europe, Greece is not a flank.
It is presence: islands, ports, sea lanes, airspace, law and deterrence.

For Israel, Greece is not a distant partner.
It is continuity, depth and forewarning.

Athens teaches what this region keeps forgetting: sovereignty is not a speech. It is geography held with discipline.

What Ankara tries to reduce to a dispute, Greece turns into a line.

This is the line I bring to the Athens file: when Greece holds, Europe is not watching the theatre. It is in it.

The line continues.

A Jewish State Cannot Stop at Armenia

Israel recognized the Armenian Genocide. Now it must name the Assyrian and Greek genocides, including Pontus, and the whole thirty-year crime.

I welcome my government’s decision to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

It is right. It is moral. It is Israeli.

It is also nearly eight decades late. The Jewish state should have spoken this truth in its first days, before diplomatic calculation taught Jerusalem to ask permission from the heirs of denial.

But recognition that stops at Armenia remains incomplete.

The Armenian Genocide was not an isolated tragedy. The Assyrian Genocide was not an appendix. The Greek Genocide, including the Greeks of Pontus, was not a footnote.

Together, they were the Thirty-Year Genocide.

From the Hamidian massacres, through the Young Turks, and into the first years of the Turkish Republic, the uniforms changed. The logic did not.

It was Turkification through dispossession: the cannibalization of peoples, histories and holy places to fabricate a nation pure enough for its own myth.

Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks were murdered, uprooted, converted, erased and then denied. Their homes became someone else’s innocence. Their churches became someone else’s silence. Their absence became someone else’s alibi.

No nation has the moral right to recognize only the part of this history that is easiest to name.

Certainly not the Jewish state.

NILI understood this before Israel existed. Sarah Aaronsohn saw what the Ottoman machine was doing to the Armenians. Aaron Aaronsohn understood the warning: once an empire learns to treat a minority as a security problem, the next people can be marked for disappearance.

The Jews of the Land of Israel were not distant observers. They were, very likely, next in line.

That is why this decision matters.

Not as revenge. Not as diplomacy. Not as a message to Ankara.

As truth.

Israel should now complete the act: recognize the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek genocides together, as one historical crime of extermination, dispossession and denial.

A Jewish state does not outsource memory.

It does not negotiate truth.

It does not stop halfway.

Το μάθημα που αντλεί το Ισραήλ από τον πόλεμο με το Ιράν διαμορφώνει ήδη τον σχεδιασμό του για τον επόμενο μεγάλο φάκελο: την Τουρκία.

Το αποφασιστικό αρχείο βρισκόταν στα σύνορα: μια κουρδική χερσαία εκστρατεία, προετοιμασμένη και εγκεκριμένη, η οποία στη συνέχεια ματαιώθηκε πριν προλάβει να μετατρέψει τον αεροπορικό πόλεμο του Ισραήλ σε αλλαγή καθεστώτος.

Το χερσαίο μέτωπο είχε ένα όνομα: οι Κούρδοι.

Η Τεχεράνη φοβόταν την εξέγερση· η Άγκυρα, προηγούμενο.

Ο Ερντογάν κατάλαβε τι δεν είχε προβλέψει η Ουάσινγκτον: αν οι ιρανικές κουρδικές δυνάμεις διέσχιζαν τα σύνορα υπό ισραηλινή και αμερικανική αεροπορική κάλυψη, η επιχείρηση δεν θα παρέμενε μια ιρανική ιστορία. Θα είχε αντίκτυπο στο Ιράκ, τη Συρία και την ίδια την Τουρκία. Θα απέδειχνε ότι μια κουρδική ένοπλη οργάνωση, σε συνδυασμό με πληροφορίες, αεροπορική ισχύ και πολιτικό χρονισμό, μπορεί να αναδιαμορφώσει ένα κράτος.

Ο Ερντογάν δεν κέρδισε ένα πεδίο μάχης. Ακύρωσε ένα. Η Άγκυρα προστάτευσε την κουρδική εμμονή της προς όφελος της Τεχεράνης. Προτίμησε την επιβίωση ενός καθεστώτος εχθρικού προς το Ισραήλ, απειλητικού για τον Κόλπο και επικίνδυνου για την Ευρώπη, έναντι της επιτυχίας ενός κουρδικού προηγούμενου. Η Ιερουσαλήμ γνωρίζει τώρα, χωρίς μετάφραση, πού βρίσκονται οι τουρκικές προτεραιότητες. Για την Τουρκία του Ερντογάν, η κουρδική ενδυνάμωση είναι η ευπάθεια του καθεστώτος.

Η Αμερική παραμένει ο ισχυρότερος σύμμαχος του Ισραήλ. Υπό τον Τραμπ, το πρόβλημα δεν είναι η αμερικανική ισχύς. Η απόφαση βρίσκεται υπό την αμερικανική επιμέλεια.

Ένα πράσινο φως που μπορεί να αποσυρθεί κατά την εκτέλεση είναι ένα μεταμφιεσμένο βέτο. Ο Τραμπ μπορεί να χτυπήσει, να απειλήσει, να μετακινήσει αγορές, αερομεταφορείς και κεφάλαια και στη συνέχεια να αντιστρέψει την πορεία του όταν η τελευταία κλήση αλλάξει την κατάσταση.

Αυτό δεν είναι στρατηγική. Είναι αστάθεια με τα αεροπλανοφόρα.

Η ευγνωμοσύνη δεν είναι δόγμα.

Ο πόλεμος στο Ιράν διαμορφώνει τώρα τον ισραηλινό σχεδιασμό για το επόμενο αρχείο: την Τουρκία. Έχει εγκαταλείψει την αίθουσα σεμιναρίων και έχει εισέλθει στην επαγγελματική κυκλοφορία: σχεδιασμός ασφαλείας, διπλωματία, νομική προετοιμασία, πληροφορίες, αμυντική βιομηχανία και στρατηγική πολιτική. Η τουρκική πρόκληση δεν μπορεί να αντιμετωπιστεί μόνο μέσω αμερικανικών δομών αδειοδότησης.

Η Ελλάδα και η Κύπρος δεν αποτελούν το κανάλι της Ευρώπης. Είναι το στρατηγικό βάθος του Ισραήλ στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο. Εναντίον της Τουρκίας, ο νόμος, η νομιμότητα, η αμυντική βιομηχανία, τα λιμάνια, ο εναέριος χώρος και η ενέργεια γίνονται επιχειρησιακά εργαλεία. Δεν είναι ξεχωριστά αρχεία· είναι ελευθερία δράσης.

Το μάθημα του Ισραήλ είναι η κυριαρχία στο σημείο της απόφασης: οι συνασπισμοί, η Ουάσινγκτον και η Ευρώπη έχουν σημασία. Κανείς δεν έχει την ευθύνη της απόφασης. Το σημείο της απόφασης επιστρέφει στην Ιερουσαλήμ.
