A resilient health system starts in the lab.
Investing in our lab teams means investing in epidemic preparedness, accurate treatment, and better outcomes.
This #LabWeek, we honour the precision, pressure, and people behind every tested sample.

What an inspiring 4 days filled with learning, research, networking and a vibrant exchange of ideas on ‘Harnessing Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for African Genomics’
Please stay in touch and we hope to see you soon! 🧬🌍🇺🇬
I have opened the 15th African Society of Human Genetics and the 1st Ugandan Society of Human Genetics conference at Speke Resort Munyonyo. I have underscored the need for african scientists to collaborate in the search for sustainable health solutions. Makerere University is proud to be associated with this important conference.
In his words Prof @SFatumo noted, "This conference is more than an exchange of ideas; it is a call to action for scientists, policymakers and industry experts to harness artificial intelligence to unlock Africa’s genomic potential and drive medical treatments that are effective for everyone irrespective of their ethnic background. "
