i have a personal anecdote to tell
almost everyone has a prejudiced past
i'm black and asian. i grew up in bed-stuy. i moved to tokyo at 10 without ever getting acquainted with more than one white person, this little wigger boy named chad (ikr). my school was 98% black
1/10
@NOVAWRLDFALLIN homogeneity is directly correlated to racism thats why urban american white people are actually kinda chill. japan is 99% japanese (or well, yamato people, everyone is a decendent of colonizers here)
urban whites are doing a lot of heavy lifting in my tweet
i think Try Not To Laugh challenges probably made the world more miserable by conditioning millenials and zoomers to not laugh and raise the barrier for what it takes to make them laugh for the rest of their life
@Kodaliras i think the desire to transition at all implies a dissatisfaction big enough to outweigh all the stigma and social conditioning that stops people from transitioning in the first place, making what we assume are "non-dysphorics", dysphoric
all my real takes on the discourse
- ppl can change
- no real former racist asks for forgiveness
- a racist phase is probably normal for whites, in fact the "phase" part isn't
- almost nobody cares about POC victims
- it is conservative to think ppl cant change
twitter transsexuals actually think "men" and "women" are real things. they aren't, mate. beyond fixing the mind-body disconnect, you're just trying to fit in with your local (or let's be real, the white) status quo
