🚨 There’s a SACCO bill in Parliament today, and most Kenyans don’t even know what’s coming.

Quietly... with almost no public attention…
A system is being introduced that will centralize SACCO money, and Govt will now have a massive say in it.

Think of it as a “Super SACCO” for all SACCOs.

It will:
- Hold funds from different SACCOs
- Manage liquidity
- Run payments
- Lend to SACCOs
- Invest your money

Sounds safe? Here’s the reality:
❗ SACCOs could lose some operational independence
❗ Oversight becomes much heavier (via Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority)
❗ Leaders must meet “fit & proper” approval
❗ Strict reporting & constant supervision

And yes, this could mean slower access to your money in some situations.
Now the part they won’t emphasize:

Your savings are only protected up to KSh 100,000

If a SACCO collapses?
Anything above that = your risk.

Even worse:

⚠️ Payouts are NOT immediate
⚠️ Must be approved & gazetted first
⚠️ You could wait while your money is locked

So ask yourself:
Why centralize SACCO money...
But limit protection for members?

This bill is being sold as “safety.”
But it also introduces control by the government, delays, and new risks for ordinary Kenyans.

It was a pleasure joining Ngemi Cia Watho event yesterday evening at the Thika Greens Golf Club, alongside Second Deputy President of Kenya Hon. Rigathi Gachagua and Speaker Emeritus Hon. JB Muturi.

The colourful event was a living actualisation by members of the Law Society of Kenya from the Gikuyu, Embu, Meru and Akamba (GEMA) communities of Article 11 of our Constitution of Kenya, 2010. Recognising and celebrating culture as the bedrock of our nation and the cumulative civilisation of the Kenyan people should be encouraged as a way of dialogue and a means of showcasing Kenya's cultural wealth.

Kitui County Women Representative Hon Irene Kasalu, Matungulu MP Hon Stephen Mule, Embakasi South MP Hon Julius Mawathe, Wakili Ndegwa Njiru and Wakili Eunice Lumallas accompanied me to the event.

I’ve been quietly following this gold story for months how gold is being smuggled through Kenya, and how a few powerful hands have turned it into their private empire.

Yesterday I saw David Ndii post a list trying to deny that Kenya exports over $300 million worth of gold to the UAE. But the truth, backed by international data, tells a different story.

In our digging we found;

In 2022, Kenya officially declared only 265 kilograms of gold as exports, worth about $7 million. But according to UAE import records, over 6,000 kilograms of gold were received from Kenya that same year, worth nearly $300 million. Yes and i have posted evidence in replies.

And what happens is this gold isn't declared so that it can't be taxed. Instead, what happens is some big leaders involved get cuts from the money generated or from the gold itself. The gold is usually shipped under tight security to the JKIA. Including some recent shipments we have been following from Sudan.

In 2023, Kenya claimed it exported less than 200 kilograms according to records. Yet UAE data shows over 9,000 kilograms entered from Kenya, worth close to $500 million.

So where does the extra gold come from? It comes from Sudan and Congo, smuggled in through Kenya, often under heavy protection. Some of the gold belongs to the RSF and M23 rebels, men whose wars have destroyed lives. And a few in power here take their cut, either in cash or gold.

This is why some individuals in government have suddenly become among the wealthiest in Africa. Their wealth drips from the blood and suffering of others.

And when you ask why Kenya doesn’t declare all that gold, the answer is simple. To declare it, they would have to admit that it isn’t from kenya . That its from sudan. That it is blood gold passing through our borders, cleared by our own officials, enriching a few while shaming an entire nation. It would expose kenya for disregarding international laws

And this is why you see David Ndii actively fighting this story . Coz it touches on the thing linking them to the rsf terorists in sudan

We’ve been tracking this story for a while, including flights, shipments, and documents linking the trail from Sudan to JKIA. And yes, Ndii knows. They know even what happened during those self engineered blackouts that used to happen

Soon, you’ll see what we’ve been seeing. There’s an international investigation ongoing, and it’s almost done.

When that report drops, the world will understand how the suffering of Sudanese and Congolese people has been turned into secret riches in Nairobi.

My X family, if you’ve been keen on the TL since yesterday, you’ve probably noticed something strange a sudden flood of tweets about Tanzania and Samia Suluhu (aka "Idi Amin mama").

Now don’t get me wrong, I respect all the bloggers supporting Tanzanians and sharing their stories and i support them. But I can’t help noticing a pattern.

Whenever major issues hit home, like the Cybercrimes Act ruto signed, the GMO cassava approval this week, or the new privatization bill, our TL suddenly gets flooded with distractions.

I might be wrong, but it feels deliberate. Some bloggers are clearly being used to shift our anger from our own government to Tanzania’s.

The heat was rising for the Ruto govt

Boom, now everyone's focus is on Tanzania

Think about it, Samia banned X in Tanzania. So most Tanzanians can’t even see these hashtags. Who are we really tweeting for?

The Tanzanian replies that you are seeing on X are just bots; if you have been keen, you will notice.
In Tanzania itself, the brainwashing that is taking place over there it's just a pity
