GMT Pay:

A few days ago, I found out that FSL will introduce the Marathon Mode in both STEPN and STEPN GO 🤔
I was surprised to see that this mode is not directly in the app, as was announced some time ago😮
👉Because the Marathon counts activity from both STEPN and STEPN GO, it needs a shared hub (the Marathon site) that can connect to FSL ID — the central account system that both apps use.

Putting it inside one app would make it harder to include users from the other (my opinion).
🔶 Developing a new feature like "Marathon tracking" inside both apps (STEPN & GO) would require:
🔸Two separate UI builds
🔸Two sync systems for energy and data validation
🔸More app updates
Hosting it on the web allows faster iteration, easier updates, and cross-platform access (desktop or mobile browser) ✅

🔶Having it web-based makes it easier to:
🔸Add new game modes (e.g., weekly challenges, team marathons)
🔸Integrate NFTs or badges from different FSL titles
🔸Run limited events without needing a new app update
But that doesn't mean it will stay that way. In the future, we will definitely see this mode implemented directly in the app, with similar functions 🤞

If it were in the app, I would have liked to 👀 see the following:
🔶Dashboard View
🔹 Progress Bar: "12 / 14 Days Completed"
🔹 Today's Status:
" ✅ 2.0 Energy Burned (Complete)"
or "⚠️ 1.2 Energy Burned (0.8 left to stay eligible!)"
🔹 Countdown Timer: Time left until daily reset (23:59 UTC)
🔹 Reward Tracker: Estimated APY or total pool growth

🔶Add small visual cues to the main STEPN home screen:
🔸A "🔥Marathon Streak" icon next to the Energy bar.
🔸If you complete your 2 Energy: show a green check or confetti burst.
🔸If you haven't yet: show a reminder badge ("2 Energy left to stay in Marathon!").

Notifications
🔶Daily push reminders (configurable):
🔸"Your Marathon day isn't done! Burn 2 Energy to keep your streak."
🔸“✅ You did it! Day 10/14 complete — keep going!”

And many other things can be added here.
