I hadn't remembered much of it from my first go around with diddygari as a children in my childrenhood so I had thought that people made too much of a hullabaloo about the toothbrush scene, but when I rewatched diddygari recently it really is that intense and goes on for so long
Moreover I think people try to downplay how monumental the gap truly is between those who say they are "alone", that is to say are surrounded with friends and those who care about them but still feel isolated, versus those who are truly and utterly alone
I dont think people who've always had friends and people there for them in life realize just how much those presences serve as a motivator to keep your life together and moreso just how much more difficult it is to keep going without them
