Reposting myself because how are we still fighting about this. No matter if it's a horrible tragedy or something sweet and happy nobody ever cares for Amelia. She was literally a hostage in a bomb situation and nobody cared to ask. She is so happy right now and in love and nobody cares to ask. Jo doesn't even make a witty remark. Nothing. It's like everything happens of camera if it happens at all and now the HUGE moment of Toni meeting Amelia's son fully, canonically happens off camera too??? And yet it's asked of us to support the show and champion it, which we've been doing... this is so frustrating. As sweet as it was and as happy as I am still. Amelia is NOT a support character. @STEELCURTAIN713 I think the wording Sandy used was wrong and as a white woman I cannot say whether the comment was racist or not because it wasn’t aimed toward me. However, I think her sentiment was correct in the fact that certain players get away with stuff more than others.
