There is a working structure fire at Fairburn Tire. Hwy. 29 / W. Broad St is closed in both directions through downtown until the scene is safe. Please avoid the area.

There is a fatality accident on Hwy. 74 at Milam Road. Both northbound lanes are closed going towards the interstate, one southbound lane closed going towards Tyrone. Use an alternate route.

Kathleen Johnson, age 68, missing for several hours. Last seen: blue jeans, a white & black striped shirt, with hair in ponytail. Suffers from dementia. Please share, dial 911 if seen.

The police department is investigating a missing person case in the area of the Evergreen Park Apartments located at 7305 Village Center Blvd, Fairburn. This is the apartment complex off of Hwy. 29 just south of the Hwy. 74 loop.

Mr. Fields is described as follows: 5’08, 180 lbs., last seen wearing gray sweatpants, bright blue Nike shoes, blue knit sweater with blue polo, gold knit beanie with veteran hat on top. These photos are a picture of Mr. Fields’ face, and a shot of clothes last seen wearing.

#Fairburn #traffic All lanes of I-85 southbound are closed before Exit 61 for a 3 vehicle accident. One of the vehicles is a bus. Consider an alternate route until the debris and vehicles can be cleared and lanes can be reopened.

#Fairburn #Traffic A vehicle collision has damaged a utility pole on Elder Street. This has caused a power outage in the area, including several traffic signals on Hwy. 29. Remember to treat any traffic signal as a 4-way stop if the signal has no power.
